Tradition and Progress. Bokken and Jo are extensions and provided stability, fluidity, and extra ways to practice. Practice without a weapon is done as if you have one. Practice with a weapon is done as if you don't have it. Saturdays and Sundays...bring a sweat rag, you'll need it!
