2026 Winter 5-Stand League @ 5 pm on Tuesdays

Eight weeks starting on 1/6/2026 running through 3/3/2026. A Shoot-off / Banquet will be held on 3/3/2026. League shooters can shoot 2 free rounds at the shoot-off.

Practice on 1/4/2026 at 10am. ($6/rnd for members, $7/rnd for nonmembers)

Handicap scoring will be used for league 1st place only. You will be shooting against another league shooter(s) each week for points. Shoot-off will be between 5 shooters (not including the league winner) based on the highest 8 week averages of non-handicapped raw scores.

Free (2 - round) Fun Shoot / "Banquet” / Shoot-off on 3/3/2026.

League Prizes (dependent on participation) - 1st place (handicapped league) and 1st through 3rd place (Shoot-off from 5 highest Non-handicapped average scores).

NYS Pistol Permit Class
The Tioga County Sportsmen’s Association (TCSA) has been authorized to teach the NYS Pistol Permit Education Class which is required before anyone in NY State can be issued a Concealed Carry Pistol Permit.

Our authorization is valid for Tioga, Chemung, Tompkins, Monroe, Cortland, Chenango, Erie, Steuben, and Broome Counties.

Currently it is our intention to conduct a class monthly. Minimum attendance is 6 people, the maximum is 12. This rational takes into consideration time, effort, safety, and personal

involvement for the attendees.

The fee for the class is $300.00 This includes all that one needs to complete the class (fi****ms, ammunition, training books, and lunch).

As directed by NYS the class is required to have 16 hours of classroom, with a written exam that requires 90% to pass. Plus, two hours of hands-on live fire exercises in our inside heated shooting range with a qualification for proficiency. Both requirements are reasonably easy to accomplish.

TCSA is providing our approved NYS Concealed Carry Course, (16 hrs + 2)

The weekend course runs 8:00am to 5:00pm.

S***t has switched to its winter schedule, Thursday and Sunday mornings 10-2.
5-stand:
5-stand will be switching on Sunday, November 2, also 10-2. The 5-stand winter league will start in late December or early January.
Trap:
Trap will switch to its winter schedule
on Saturday, November 1, 10-2.

We will also have a work party on July 20 (Saturday) at 9am to clean up the 5 stand building and trap houses before the league starts. We will also be loading all the trap houses (including s***t) with birds.

Work will include cleaning windows, sweeping / mopping floors, cleaning tables, window sills, etc. Removing broken birds, spider webs and mouse nests from trap houses will also be on the agenda. Feel free to bring a shop vac, window squeegee, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

A free round of 5-stand can be had for each volunteer, so bring your gun.
