🏅 Mind of an Athlete Camp! 🏅 I'm excited to announce the launch of Haray Sports' summer mental performance training program for students entering 7th–12th grade.

Athletes spend countless hours developing physical skills, but success in sports also depends on confidence, focus, resilience, goal setting, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Through Haray Sports, I've combined my careers in health education and athletic coaching, to provide athletes with evidence-based practical tools to improve performance, manage pressure, enjoy their sport more, and live a healthier life.

📅 Session 1 - Summer 2026

7th & 8th Grades: Mondays, 3:00–4:30 PM
June 29, July 6, July 13, & July 20

9th–12th Grades: Tuesdays, 3:00–4:30 PM
June 30, July 7, July 14, & July 21

📍 Location: Every Body Strength & Fitness, Endwell, NY

✅ Four 90-minute camp sessions
✅ One private 30-minute virtual coaching session

Whether your athlete wants to improve confidence, manage nerves, stay focused, or gain a competitive edge, this camp will provide skills they can use for years to come.

🏅 Introducing the Mind of an Athlete Camp! 🏅 I'm excited to announce the launch of Haray Sports' Mind of an Athlete Camp, a summer mental performance training program for students entering 7th–12th grade.

Good news folks- I’m offering a mental performance camp for 7-12 grade athletes this summer and will share dates very soon! It’ll be hosted at Every Body Strength & Fitness in Endwell. Happy holidays everyone! I’m very excited to share that I’m completing the Play Zone training from the Polyvagal Institute related to sport psychology! It teaches us how to use our own neurophysiology to enhance optimal performance. Really great stuff. Cutting edge science for mental performance. I’ll be blogging about it soon, and will be incorporating polyvagal theory into my workshops! (And my own tennis playing! 😁🎾)

If you know me, you know how much I love tennis. It’s a fun, social, life long sport with great health benefits. It’s also a great sport for athletes who play other sports. “A Danish study from 2018 found that tennis players lived nearly a decade longer than their sedentary peers—and also longer than swimmers, cyclers, and joggers. No other sport in the analysis was correlated with such a large boost to life expectancy.”

Tennis is now easier to pick up than ever. “But its real advantage over other sports is what happens when you keep on playing,” Alexandra Moe writes.

As comes to a close, we know that the work must be continued all year long to ensure girls and women everywhere are thriving both on and off the field of play. Our research report 'Thriving Through Sport: The Impact on Girls' Mental Health' shows that playing sport has a significant impact on girls’ mental health. When girls play sport in high-quality environments, they benefit in multiple areas of mental health, from decreased levels of depression and anxiety to stronger peer relationships and greater levels of meaning and purpose. Let us continue to empower more girls and women to play, compete, and lead - in sports and beyond - without barriers.
