Life doesn’t always slow down so we can “get ourselves together.”
Sometimes the season we’re in feels messy, overwhelming, and uncertain.
But I’ve learned something over the years — taking care of the body God gave us often becomes the anchor that helps us get through those seasons.
Movement clears the mind.
Strength builds confidence.
Faith reminds us we’re not doing it alone.
That’s why I’m starting a small 6-Week Temple Strength Challenge for women who want to feel stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually.
This isn’t about perfection.
It’s about showing up — even when life isn’t perfect.
Inside the challenge we’ll focus on: • simple strength workouts
• caring for our bodies well
• encouragement and accountability
• short devotionals to keep our focus grounded

Hello Perimenopause.

Last night was a night where my body felt it was fighting itself. My joints ached, my leg muscles were tight. I rolled, i used the message gun, hydrated, cranked up my heated mattress pad and prayed.
Here's the thing ladies this happens and we need to give ourselves grace. Keep showing up move how you can each day.
Here's what helped me:

Before bed
Heat over ice → heating pad or hot shower on low back/hips/shoulders
Magnesium (if you use it): glycinate or epsom salt soak for 10–15 min
Legs up the wall 3–5 min → helps circulation after sitting
Slow nasal breathing: 4-second inhale / 6-second exhale x 3–5 min (calms the nervous system, which lowers pain perception)

Very gentle mobility (no stretching hard)
Cat–cow x 5 slow reps
Pelvic tilts on your back x 8–10
Neck circles + shoulder rolls
Ankle circles

Evening Prayer
God,
I give You this tired body and busy mind.
You see the tension in my neck, the ache in my hips, the soreness in my calves.
Nothing is hidden from You.
Thank You for carrying me through today.
Thank You that I don’t have to fix everything before I rest.
Please bring warmth where there is pain,
release where my body is holding stress,
and peace where my thoughts keep spinning.
As I sleep, restore what was drained today.
Let my muscles soften, my joints feel supported,
and my nervous system remember it is safe.
I trust You to work while I rest.
I place myself in Your care tonight.
Amen. 🌙
