Tomorrow, Saturday August 29th, is the big day for our annual Customer Appreciation Day. Looks like a few showers will be coming through, but we are well set up for that. We have plenty of inside space and our tent outside so we will be able to carry on. As of now the rain looks like it will be spotty, shouldn't affect us much.
We have had a couple questions asked lately. Number one, and I should have stressed this earlier, this is most definitely a family event. Every year it seems we have more families, and we love that. Bring everyone along! We have also had some questions about the new Duke 120 and 160 super mags. We do have these in stock along with Bridger,, MB, KO and all the Duke traps. We also have a few Sleepy Creek and Victor traps in the warehouse, so if you are looking for something be sure to ask us.

Hello everyone! Some of these cooler nights are good reminders our favorite time of year is right around the corner. We've got a few things coming up soon here at Cumberland's.
The Minnesota Trappers Association is again having a booth at the Steele County Fair. We have a shift or two open to work yet, if you have any questions about it let me know. It is a really laid-back deal, you sell a few tanned furs but mostly answer trapping related questions.
We also have our open house on August 29th from 8:00 until 3:00, this will also include the Minnesota Trappers district 8 meeting. As usual we will provide lunch and there will be free trapping demonstrations as well as discounts on merchandise. If you are needing a field day for your Trapper's Ed, we can take care of you on the 29th as well, give us a call at 507 -451 -7607.
Finally, we will be attending both the Iowa and Wisconsin trapping conventions. Our shop will be closed Friday September 11th and Saturday September 12th so we can cover both of these shows. Both of these conventions are excellent and lots of fun, plan to attend if you can.

We will be hosting Pelt Day on February 28 at our shop, 4707 North Cedar Ave, Owatonna MN. We will open up at 8 and continue into the afternoon until we are done. For more information on what Pelt Day entails please check out the Pelt Day page on Facebook. Basically there are 2 aspects to it. #1 is education. You can bring in some fur and learn how to properly skin, flesh and stretch it. You can also come with no fur and you will be able to observe and even help put up fur. We will have equipment available to use. #2 is we are taking donations for the MTA tanned fur project. Bring along your donations and we will see they get handled properly and delivered. We will be closed on Friday September 5th and Saturday September 6th. Jade will attending the Iowa Convention in Cherokee and Jeremy will be at the Wisconsin Convention in Antigo.
