We did some work today in the trailer going through our original motor cleaning and putting some new parts on it. We go it installed and started the car and let it run for about 4/5 minutes and it is covered in oil again. So all our plans are on hold right now. Will either try to get this one fixed or will find another motor

I’ve had a few people ask me when is Crew going to race.
First thing is we had a little set back with the engine and I thought we could put in the motor that came with the car to get some more practice laps and that motor is lacking compression so it is back to repairing the main motor.

Second and main thing, I am in no rush for Crew to race. I want him to make as many laps as he needs to where he feels comfortable and I feel comfortable of his ability. I’ve got thousands and thousands of laps behind the wheel of a race car. You can never have enough laps behind the wheel. Everyone today wants to rush and move to the next step. What good is it to move to the next step when you were barely ready for the first step. As long as Crew is interested and this is what he wants to do I will provide him the avenue to do it.

We went and made laps again last night. Fought a couple issues and found and issue with the throttle cable but got that fixed. Still had another issue and the car wasn’t picking up speed. Came back in and the top of the motor was covered in oil. We will pull this motor and go through it and find out what happened.

Our schedule finally calmed down enough to get back out on the track. We ran about 100 laps tonight and Crew continued to pick up speed. He ran his fastest lap tonight so far of an 8.10. We’ve got a couple of things to go over but should be out making laps again next week.
