The Finger Lakes Mud Run is a challenging, military-style trail run that pits participants against one of three extreme courses. Waves of participants will join a stampede of literally hundreds who trudge through thick field grasses, over wooded underbrush, down and out of deep gullies, and ultimately face jaw-dropping obstacles––each designed to encourage teamwork and camaraderie. One course is a
5K short course designed for those who’re looking for a fun challenge, but aren’t quite ready for the big time! The second course explores more than 750 acres of dense forest, sun-baked fields, and terrain that even scares the wildlife— all along a 14K course! The third course is a Mini Muddy that lets kids ages 6-12 get completely covered in mud, just like the rest of the family! In 2013, you put on your Tarzan or Jane and swung from rope to rope across that mucky disaster of a mud bath waiting for you below if you slipped and fell... You conquered your fears as you crawled down into the ground for a mud facial and slogged your way through Frothy Woodchuck... You tested the limits of your strength and stamina as you helped Abe Lincoln build his log cabin... You shattered your self-imposed limits when you scaled the heights of "The Monster": Clavin's Cleaver, a 100-foot high, 500-foot long muddy, mulchy train wreck of a hill that peaks with an almost 90-degree vertical angle at the top!!! And don't forget about Chow-Chow's Tongue...the longest, wettest, muddiest sloppy kiss you ever got! Thank you for a wildly successful 2013 Finger Lakes Mud Run at Everest Park, presented by the Stardust Foundation. We're honored that so many of you chose to take the challenge and join the stampede!! Proceeds from the Finger Lakes Mud Run at Everest Park benefit the Brian Bisgrove Home of Courage; a respite and retreat for CNY families with children who have life-altering medical conditions.
