Little late on getting on here for the recap of the weekend. Last weekend Nick had the night off for dirt which left just Owosso speedway for myself on Saturday. While it wasn’t my best finish here it was easily the best night for my confidence on the asphalt.

For the heat race I started on the pole and while it was short lived got to lead a solid lap for the first time there. Quickly fell back to 2nd where I ended up finishing.

Come feature time I started towards the back of the pack in 15th. Ran a pretty smooth race and ended up moving up 3 spots finishing 12th. Not seeing the results we see on the dirt side yet, but feel that I’m getting better with each night and am excited to get back at it.

This weekend the car will be back at Owosso. However with a new face behind the wheel. With me unable to make it to the track in time our good friend Kenny will be running the car. Kenny has been around as a crew guy for over 15 years and has been with us for the last several of them. We have no doubt he’s going to wheel it just as good as anyone out there and are very excited to give him this opportunity to finally get him on track!

Had a weekend planned with the Midwest Dirt Compact Touring Series at both I96 speedway and crystal motor speedway. Unfortunately rain once again prevented us from getting to crystal but we finally got our season opener at I96 in.

In the heat race Nick started 2nd and took the lead by turn 1 and never looked back. Was a great battle with some fast cars but Nick ultimately won his heat race!

Feature time he started 3rd and fell back to the middle of the pack fighting some electrical issues. Able to make a quick fix while under caution Nick ran an amazing race working his way back up to a 6th place finish in a field filled with very fast competition.

Next up for the the 70 is Channel 199 night at Hartford motor speedway next Friday once again with the midwest dirt touring series!

After a few weeks of rain outs Nick and I both had our chance to get the 70 car back on track.

Unfortunately Nicks night at I96 was ended fairly early after heavy contact on the first lap of his heat race. Scrambled to get the car right for the feature but it just wasn’t enough.

Spent the next morning getting the car repaired and ready for Owosso. Got to the track and before we could make any laps bad luck struck again, and some hidden issues surfaced from the night before.

While it’s unfortunate it’s a part of the sport and we’ll be back at it this weekend where Nick will compete in the new season opener for the Midwest Dirt Compact Touring Series at I-96 Speedway on Friday and Crystal Motor Speedway - Crystal, MI on Saturday!

We are kicking off the 2024 season this weekend at I-96 Speedway and Crystal Motor Speedway - Crystal, MI. Get your cars track side for this great weekend of racing with the Midwest Dirt Compact Touring Series.

Had 3 big nights of racing planned for the weekend and only ended up making 1. I96 cancelled friday due to some electrical issues, then Crystal cancelled Sunday due to weather. Leaving us with Owosso on Saturday.

The day started of great! Car looked good, I felt good, and after hot laps set another personal best time on track. Come time for the heat races got caught up in being in the wrong place, at the wrong time, and having the wrong reaction. Everything happens so fast on track and there’s only so much you can do. It’s a huge bummer for everyone involved in keeping this car on track. I’m ok, but the car took a decent lick. Luckily it’s nothing that can’t and won’t be repaired and we will be back.

Another big shoutout to those who have made this possible week after week for Nick and Myself.

Come check out the new look tomorrow at Owosso Speedway, and depending on the weather, Sunday at Crystal motor speedway for the Midwest dirt touring series opener! Kenny did an amazing job from designing, getting it printed all the way to the install!!

Another great night out at I96

Nick rolled out 6th in his heat race and finished 2nd in a great battle with the #22

Feature time he started 3rd, On lap 3 he made a move for the lead and never looked back bringing home the 2nd consecutive win at I96! 🏁🏁

With Owosso having our class off the schedule for the weekend, our next race will be next week when we come back to I96 on Friday the 24th. Followed by coming back to Owosso on Saturday the 25th, and rounding out a 3 day memorial weekend of racing we’ll be at Crystal motor speedway for the first race of the Midwest Dirt Compact Touring Series on Sunday the 26th.
