Today, we said goodbye to one of the finest dogs the Platte River has ever seen. River Lodge Outfitters would not be what it is today without the endless drive and heart of Rush.
Our longtime clients and friends knew that when Rush was in the field, it was going to be a good day. In the early years of River Lodge, he would retrieve 50 birds a day by himself and never slow down. As the years passed, Rush retired from waterfowl and transitioned into our upland operation, where he continued to excel.

Thank you to our Head Guide Nate for raising such an incredible dog and allowing all of us to experience him. Rush was one of the most driven, quirky, loyal, and caring dogs we’ve ever had the privilege of sharing a blind with.
