Yesterday, August 11th, we celebrated the birth of Hip-Hop a culture that grew from the Bronx into a worldwide movement built on creativity, expression, and community.
Today, August 12th, is KC Hip Hop Day!
Back in 2023 , the City of Kansas City officially proclaimed August 12th as KC Hip-Hop Day, recognizing the history, culture, and impact Hip-Hop has had on our city.
We're honored that SugEasy is included in that proclamation alongside so many Kansas City Hip-Hop pioneers, artists, DJs, dancers, producers, and culture keepers.
I don’t share this to brag, but to celebrate the culture and the role we all play in keeping it moving forward.
To my students, parents, friends, and Hip-Hop family ,you’re part of this story too.
