Coming from a background of playing college football and still training in Judo/Jujitsu. My goal is to help people optimize their movement and increase their functional capabilities- whether that is being able to play with your kids better or performing for a sport/competition, I want to help people avoid the injuries/barriers that I ran into as an athlete.

Started from the garage, now we’re here…

Almost exactly a year ago, we made a commitment to ourselves that it was time to take a run at something we’ve both dreamed about for a long time - becoming gym owners.

We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into but were ready to dive in head first with the help of the best coaching and community of gym owners we could find.

This weekend was one of the most powerful and eye-opening opportunities for us to continue to grow personally and professionally 📈

Incredibly grateful for the people in these pictures for creating a way to help people like us build the business of our dreams! 🙏🏼

So much more to come, excited to see what the next year brings! Thank you

➡️ Squat Depth is 🔑 for Longevity

If it’s not obvious, squats are one of the best exercises you can do to get & stay strong. But HOW you squat can make a profound difference in how your joints respond to them.

Start by ditching the desire to chase certain weight milestones until you have the ability to properly squat into a position where your hip crease is below your knee crease at depth.

At that depth - your ankles, knees, hips, & core are able to optimally work together to improve function through a movement that you’re naturally doing every day.

Don’t be that person doing 1/4 or 1/2 squats because your ego doesn’t line up with your capabilities. Your joints will pay for it later!

The weight will come, focus on form and function, then chase gains 🤙🏼

Mixed it up from the track this week and took our conditioning to the park with the pups, we were all due for some open space running.

Running sucks, but sprints with the dogs definitely make it easier 🐶 🙌🏼

Open up your hips with these 4 stretches I use on a regular basis 🤙🏼

> Incline Bench Pigeon
>> 90/90 Hip Stretch
>>> Couch Stretch
>>>> TRX Cossack Squat

It’s important to note two things:

1) All of these were used in the cool down portion of their workouts, but there are lots of other ways to program them into your fitness routine (done actively as a warm up, passively as a cool down, or done either way as part of daily mobility)

2) There are progressions and regressions for each of these stretches, so they can be adjusted to meet different capabilities and starting points based on personal needs

I’m big on energy management, life is too short to spend it on the wrong things.

…You can be investing it towards things to help you grow, or you can spend it on distractions

…You can get it from and give it to the people around you, or you can spend time with people or in places that drain you

…You can strategically make time to recharge, or you can run on low and repeat cycles of burnout

No matter how you stack it up, energy is everything, invest it wisely!
