White Tail Ridge Hunt Club was initially formed in 2007 to pool twelve like-minded individuals to cooperatively lease our own acreage for the specific purpose of hunting. Our goal is to secure as much contiguous land that we can afford. Our group created a friendly set of by-laws, that are friendly to youth hunters with limits on guests. No shared memberships. If you have any interest or questions

please contact us through this posting. White Tail Ridge Hunt Club Bylaws
All persons granted membership into White Tail Ridge Hunt Club (henceforth referred to as the Club) must comply with all by-laws as defined below and all Ohio hunting regulations and laws. Failure to comply will result in a member’s immediate termination from the club and forfeiture of all paid dues or membership fees.
1. The Club - White Tail Ridge Hunt Club is established for deer hunting. Small game may be pursued as well, but the primary game animal of the club is white tailed deer. Small game animals are those included under the current State of Ohio game rules and regulations.

2. Terms of Membership – Members will comply with all requirements of club land lease agreement(s) that the club has entered into. Payment of all fees and or dues must be current and up to date to retain all privileges of the club. Children of Members at the age of 21 and below will be allowed to hunt while the child’s parent is hunting or accompanying them. No member fee will be collected for this child.

3. Membership Dues – Club dues are paid on an annual basis. Current dues cover the current year land lease only. Subsequent year’s dues are due by April 30 of each year to allow the club ample time to ascertain vacancies in membership and procure new members prior to the June leasing commitment from its current Lessor. If dues are collected by the Club between April 30 and lease renewal then adjustments may be made in the event of a lease cost increase or decrease. This increase or decrease is set by the Landlord on or before June 30. Dues left unpaid on April 30 will risk forfeiture of Membership without prior notice. In the event that multiple current Members have not paid dues by the time a new Member is committed, the newest delinquent Member will be the first to be replaced.

4. Deer Harvest – Deer harvest will be in accordance with the limits established by the State of Ohio DNR. The club has determined that the members and or guests shall not kill bucks with antlers less than the width of the buck’s ears. All attempts should be made not to kill button bucks. In an effort to help youths be successful, antler limits are released for the children of members.

5. Turkey Harvest – Ohio game laws apply.

6. Guests – Guests of members are to be limited in accordance with the lease agreement for the land under the club lease. Most Landowners require, in advance, a signed hold harmless document for each and every person planning to hunt. Neither the club nor the landowners will be held liable for guests. Guests hunt at their own risk. Refer to separate club rules document for requirements for guests as the requirements change from time to time. Guest limits – Guests are welcome to hunt with current members. Repeat visits of the same guests will be limited to (2) two days - used at any time during the season that the Member chooses to invite the guest. Guests are NOT allowed to hunt without accompaniment by the Member. Guests may not hunt the opening day or the 1st following Saturday of the Deer gun season. Exceptions – Members are encouraged to communicate exceptional requests to the President of the Club for consideration.

7. ATVs – ATVs may be used on the club as required for the purpose of hunting. Recreational riding will not be allowed. The landowner sets this rule.

8. General Negligence – All Ohio hunting regulations and laws, along with club rules will be enforced. Poaching – Members caught poaching will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Illegal Activities - Participating in illegal activities on the club property or leased property will not be tolerated
c. Alcohol & Drugs – It is illegal to hunt while intoxicated or otherwise physically impaired by drugs or alcohol. The club will not tolerate hunters in the field under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

9. Member Agreement –When said member and member guest agree to the club by-laws by way of signature or payment of club dues, no liabilities can be charged against the property owners, club members, or guests for any accident or death on said White Tail Ridge Hunt Club. All members, immediate family members and guests hunt at their own risk.

10. New Membership – New members are chosen between the April dues deadline and the new leasing season and must be sponsored by a current member. As membership grows larger land leases may be sought out to assure safe hunting conditions. The executive committee can refuse any and all sponsored members. Membership will not be reasonably withheld.

11. Club Executive Committee – An executive committee will be made consisting of the club president, and vice president. They will review and propose updates to the club by-laws. A quorum of club members will be required to vote to change by-laws, elect new executive committee members. Executive Committee membership, once voted by quorum as indicated above, will serve the club in this capacity for annual terms. A quorum is defined as a majority of members. The president, or vice president may serve unlimited terms as voted by the membership. The president, or vice president or candidates may participate in the voting process. The executive committee will be charged with the responsibility to attend to all club business, such as lease negotiations, membership dues, membership disciplinary actions, maintenance of the membership roster, etc. Distribution of club rules to the membership, collection of membership dues, and management of the club bank account. Only the club president and vice president will be allowed to write checks drawn on the club bank account. The executive committee will be responsible to split the responsibilities of the president and vice president between themselves equitably.
