A little more info about the season to help make a decision if you would like to join archery!

Season practice will start November 3rd. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays at Liberty Intermediate. Practice times will be assigned after completion of registration. School bows will be checked out to those that need one. Arrows are provided for practice and are provided at tournaments for those who need them. Tournaments are typically held on Saturdays and start the first weekend of December and last regular season tournament is close to the last weekend of February. Tournaments are typically located within 15 minutes to one hour from Ottumwa but could occasionally be farther based on availability.

Nasp archery uses the nasp approved Genesis Original bow only and uses Easton 1820 arrows only.
Registration fee- $60.00 per archer. Regular season tournament fees are included in this amount. Additional $20.00 for required jersey cost for all new archers and returning archers who need a replacement jersey or new size.

Archery season is just around the corner! We will be having two pre-season practices to try archery before signing up. (October 6th and 8th from 6pm-7pm at Liberty) This is for any 4th-12th grade Ottumwa schools student that has not participated in Ottumwa Archery before.
We will have registration for the season on October 20th and 22nd from 6pm-7pm at Liberty(only need to attend one). Registration will close October 29th. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected]

Good luck to Ottumwa Bulldogs archer, Allison Swallow, as she heads to Louisville, Kentucky to compete in the Eastern National Archery competition! Allison earned a spot at Nationals by placing in the top 10 high school girls in the state of Iowa.

Over the weekend, The National Archery in Schools Program hosted the 2026 Iowa State Archery Tournament. The Ottumwa Bulldogs sent 54 archers to the competition to give it their all.

Congratulations to Ottumwa Bulldogs Archery athlete Allison Swallow and her Top 10 finish at the Iowa State Archery Tournament!
