MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I am very passionate about teaching, my goal is to enhance all students playing ability and overall enjoyment of the game by teaching a swing that is more efficient and easier on the body. I believe every golfer has the ability to improve whether it be their putting, short game, full-swing or course management. This improvement can come quickly by learning to be more consis
tent with important fundamentals such as the grip, alignment, pre-shot routine, and setup. My teaching philosophy caters around the student’s learning style. Some students like to keep it as simple as possible while others like to know how everything works. Either way, I am committed to making them a better player. While it takes some students more time to achieve the results they desire, I do not necessarily believe a student should or will get worse before they get better. My goal of each lesson is to achieve better results that day while building a foundation for long-term success. It’s important to understand the cause of poor results, but more importantly, how to effectively fix them. Through the use of drills, and teaching aids my students will learn how to improve their game. MY APPROACH
Every golfer is different and I approach my instruction that way. I begin each lesson by interacting with my students to make them feel comfortable while learning about their personality. Communicating with my students about their current level of play and goals is very important to me. While I believe in certain laws and principles in the golf swing, I always try to structure the lesson towards the individual. I teach students as young as 5 years old to seniors in their 80’s, beginners to professionals, and everyone in between. Whether the goal is to gain more confidence on the course or to have more enjoyment playing the game, I give my students the appropriate instruction to achieve their goals.
