OTTAWA, Kan. — Ottawa University overcame an early deficit, a lengthy lightning delay and an overnight postponement to earn a convincing 61-20 victory over Sterling College at AdventHealth Field.

Ottawa University will play a football game on a day other than Saturday. The matchup will also mark the Braves’ first home Sunday game in more than 120 years.

Ottawa last played on a Sunday during the 1904 season, when the Braves hosted St. Mary’s College (St. Mary’s, Kan.) on Nov. 6, 1904. St. Mary’s defeated Ottawa, 15-10.

The football game between Ottawa University and Sterling College has been postponed. The Braves and Warriors will continue the game on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 3pm.
