Capt. Chad's Ladies Fishing Tournament Tournament rules:
Mandatory Captains meeting Friday June 15th at 7:30PM sharp at the pavilion at K&G Lodge. The weigh in will be at Wrights Landing Marina.

The Captain and one lady angler must be present for the captains meeting to discuss and explain the rules of the tournament. Teams will be allowed to weigh in their best 6 fish, although may have as many fish in their box as each boats legal limit allows. Scoring will be 10 points per fish plus the weight of the fish. Minimum fish allowed to be weighed in will be no less than 22 inches. Anything l

ess will deduct one fish allowed to be weighed in (5) plus a deduction of 10 points off total score. Atlantic Salmon must be 26 inches long to be weighed in. Other Rules:
Boats will monitor channel 16 at all times and will be directed to switch to channel 78 the official tournament radio channel. At the 3 hour mark of the tournament (9:00AM), boats are required to call out boat number and name, and how many tournament fish in their cooler. Communications between tournament or any other vessels is strictly forbidden except in an emergency! Remember this is for the ladies to have fun and be competitive. Boundaries:
All boats participating must leave the Oswego Harbor. Wrights Landing, International Marina, or Oswego Marina are all valid marinas. Boats may travel as far as need be but must be back inside the Oswego Light House by 12:30 PM sharp! No exceptions for even a second late. Time will be kept with an AT&T IPhone. Tournament Hours:
Tournament hours are from 6:00AM to 12:30PM. Saturday June 16th.. The tournament will begin with a shotgun start, where all participating boats will line up just outside the harbor walls and wait for the start fishing signal. Boats may leave the dock as early as 5:30AM if desired but are not allowed beyond the start line just outside the harbor walls. Eligibility:
Ladies participating must be over the age of 16 on or before June 1st, 2012. All angling participants must be female. Teams must be constructed of no less than 2 and no more than 4 ladies per team. Boats are allowed one Captain and one Crew aboard the vessel. They may set the hook and immediately pass the rod off to an angling woman. Anyone aboard the vessel may net the fish. Once the fish has been hooked the rod may not be passed from angler to angler under any circumstance. Charter Captains please notify tournament committee if you will have clients on board the day of the tournament so you may get recognized for participating in the event! A maximum of 7 rods will be allowed to be fished at any one time. Every person aboard the fishing vessel must have a NYS valid fishing license. Fish Handling Procedures:
Upon returning to the dock, fish boxes and all anglers must remain on the boat until a tournament official comes and seals the box with tape and initials. Only exception is jumping to the dock to insure a safe landing and boat is moored properly. Fish boxes with more than 6 fish may use supplied rubber bands to put around the tail of their best 6 fish they intend to weigh for the tournament. Weigh-In:
Weigh will begin at 1:00 pm at Wrights Landing Marina picnic pavilion and everyone must be weighed in by 3:00 pm.

I'd like to say thank you for all the boats, captains and most importantly all the ladies that participated in this year's event! What an honor to have everyone's support for a great cause! Special thanks to Cory Price and Kerry for their hard work catering the delicious food this weekend and also to the tournament sponsors, Pathfinder Bank, Cams Pizzeria, Scriba Meats, Northshore Oil Company, Dunkin Donuts, Fat Nancy's Tackle Shop and K&G Lodge. Without their help this tournament wouldn't be possible! I'd like to ask for everyone that fished the tournament and has pictures from their boat to post them at some point this week! We would love to see your good times.

Gearing up for this year's woman's tournament and I've started to receive entry's already which is great news! The date for this year's event is June 25th which is also the free fishing weekend by NYS so all participants won't have to worry about a fishing license! After having a great turn out and our most successful tournament to date, after all expenses paid and everything accounted for we've raised $3500 this year for the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund!!! Very proud to have been a part of this and a huge thank you goes out to every lady and every captain, mate, husband and boyfriend that helped make this year a success!! Special thanks to Corey Price and Kerry Washington of Clubhouse BBQ for an amazing dinner, Scriba Meats for the captains meeting bacon burgers, North Shore Oil Company, Dunkin Donuts, OTIS Gun Cleaning Products and K&G Lodge for the opportunity to make everything happen. Lastly, I'd like to throw a shout out to my fiancé Cassandra Lembo for putting up with me, kicking my butt in gear when needed, a lot of behind the scenes work, help with raffles and everything else!
