Better late than never to post! I'll keep it brief-

After a slow start in pool play last weekend, we defeated Pleasantville 11-2 in the first game of bracket play. Kevin Kammueller taking the W on the mound for Fireside.

In the semi finals we came up short to Weiner's Bar 6-3. Kammueller started that game on the mound, with Trevor Hammer coming in to relieve.

Weiner's Bar went on to defeat My 2nd Home in the championship 4-0.

At the plate we were led by Myles Kazumura (5/14) and Bryce Edwards(5/15).

🎙️ Well folks, dust off your gloves and fire up the grill, ‘cause we’re back in business for the 57th Annual Pleasantville 4th of July Tournament!

That’s right — the crack of the bat returns, and the crowd can expect to see some familiar faces on the Fireside squad from last year’s heartbreaker runner-up, the Blue Sox. They’re lookin’ to finish what they started!

We’re just a week away, and if you step outside, you might already catch a whiff of that world-famous charcoal chicken and bratwurst waftin’ through the summer breeze!

The tournament kicks off Friday, July 4th with games all day starting at 10:00 AM with My 2nd Home vs. Jacobson Electric.

Fireside Pool Play Schedule, Saturday July 5th:
🕤 9:30 AM – squaring off against Jacobson Electric
🕜 1:30 PM – a showdown with Wiener’s Bar
🕞 3:30 PM – wrapping up against My 2nd Home

Then it’s single elimination — winner takes all, Saturday evening through Sunday afternoon.

So grab a cold one from the Golden Nugget, grab your seats, and join us for America’s pastime the way it was meant to be!

Dusted off the Fireside jerseys this weekend for the Whitehall Beef & Dairy Days Fastpitch Tournament. Big thanks to the Pigeon Falls Lions Club for sponsoring us!

Game 1 was a 6-0 loss to My 2nd Home, Game 2 a 4-3 win over Ritter Hardware, and Game 3 was a 7-5 loss in 9 innings to the Pleasantville Lions.

At the plate we were led by Jaxon Kostka and Bryce Edwards. Kostka went .500 for the tournament (5/10) with a triple & HR and Edwards batted .375 with a triple as well.

On the mound, Trevor Hammer threw all 23 innings over 3 games: totaling 22 strikeouts, 9 walks, and 14 earned runs.

In the field, Corey Kittelson turned back the clock for the weekend making multiple diving catches in each game. Anything hit to right field was as close to an automatic out as you can get!

Although there won't be a Fireside team in the tournament this year, come on down to Pleasantville for some fastpitch so...

Although there won't be a Fireside team in the tournament this year, come on down to Pleasantville for some fastpitch softball this weekend!

There'll be some familiar faces from the old Fireside team on the My 2nd home team(Dalton Swett) and also the Pigeon Falls Lion's Club team(Trevor Hammer and Corey Kittelson)!

Our season came to a close tonight with a 7-3 loss to Pleasantville.

Ethan Giese started the game on the Mound for us, with Trevor Hammer coming in to relieve. Hammer led us at the plate going 2/3 with a Home run and 2 RBIs as well.

Shandler Herman got the complete game Win on the mound for Pleasantville.

Thursday we are in action against Pleasantville at 7:00. This will be our final game of the season so let's make it a good one!

Slight change in our schedule, we will be hosting LX fastpitch tomorrow night in Pleasantville. No game Thursday this week.

On the road last night we lost to Weiner's Bar of Ettrick 4-0. Do to some of our own players not able to make it last night we borrowed Marty Becker and Steve Hovell from the Weiner's Bar team. Thanks Marty and Steve for helping us fill the field.

Weiner's scored 3 in the bottom of the 4th to take the lead and added an insurance run in the 5th. Steve Hovell and Trevor Hammer both had doubles in the game for Fireside. Matt Stuhr was the winning pitcher for Weiner's Bar throwing all 7 innings only giving up 3 hits and earning a pile of strikeouts.

Heck of a ball game in pleasantville tonight, we came away with a 9-8 win in 11 innings!

Our offense was led by 2 solo home runs by Gavin Schintgen, and another by Shane Huyser. Everyone hit the ball well.

Defensively we were anchored by Logan Marsolek the vacuum at 2nd base and Kole Kaldunski tracking down balls in center field. Kole also scored the winning run in the 11th on some excellent base running.

We've had a few weeks off due to various reasons but we're back in action tomorrow night at 7:30 against Pleasantville in Pleasantville.

With our loss tonight, we'll be playing at 12 tomorrow against Pleasantville. Games start at 9 and run all day, so come on down to pleasantville and watch some ball!
