Summer hockey is right around the corner! Below is the link to details and registration. KU schools include Loy Norrix, Kalamazoo Central, Hackett, Schoolcraft, Three Rivers, Galesburg-Augusta, and Harper Creek. Eligible age this year is 8th-12th grades during the 2026-2027 school year.

That’s a wrap KU fans! Tonight we celebrated this KU team. We celebrated the season’s hard work, the memories, and the dedication. This team grows more and more every year, we are so proud of them!

Thank you to our players, coaches, families, and fans that make up KU hockey. Seniors, we wish you the best, kick butt in this next season of your life and make sure to come back and visit. Go KU! 💙💚

Senior Spotlight:

Next up, number 44, and goalie Elijah Jennings!

Elijah is from Kalamazoo Central High School. He has played hockey for 8 years, 2 of those on our KU Varsity hockey team.

Following graduation, Elijah will be attending the University of Michigan for nuclear engineering.

Pregame drink: Kombucha
Favorite hockey memory: "Getting my first shutout in 12U!”
Hockey superstition: “Every time we start I have to switch which side of the ice I stretch on during warmups, and every two weeks I increase the number of times I tap my posts before puck drops by one.”

James is from Hackett Catholic Prep. He has played hockey for 13 years, 4 of those on our KU Varsity hockey team.

Following graduation, James plans on attending attending college and majoring in Biology.

Carter is from Loy Norrix High School. He has played hockey for 10 years, 4 of those on our KU Varsity hockey team.

Following graduation, Carter plans on attending Hope College fo sales.

Favorite hockey memory: "Beating Portage last year on Senior night.”
Hockey superstition: “I get dressed left to right, and I don’t let my stick hit the ground until I get on the ice.”

TJ is from Loy Norrix High School. He has played hockey for 12 years, 4 of those on our KU Varsity hockey team.

Following graduation, TJ plans on attending Kettering University to study electrical engineering.

Pregame routine: Listening to the same playlist while doing stretches.
Pregame meal: Two eggs and a piece of toast.
Favorite hockey memory: "Staying at all the hotels with my teammates."

Jacob is from Schoolcraft High School. He has played hockey for 10 years, 4 of those on our KU Varsity hockey team.

Following graduation, Jacob plans on attending Aquinas College in to play Baseball and to pursue a career in Physical Therapy.

Pregame routine: "Before every game I have to do the same stretching routine in the same order."
Hockey superstition: "White tape makes my stick handling better."
Favorite hockey memory: "Getting a charter bus and staying in a hotel as a team my sophomore year."
