Wisconsin Dartball

The dates have been posted for the World Series of Dartball.
The WSoD is a 4 tournament event, consisting of 3 separate tournaments, and then is part of the state tournament at the end of the season. Points are awarded for each win and bonus points for each place finish. During the first 3 tournaments, all teams will play the same minimum number of games. In the one day tournaments, each team is guaranteed 7 games. The points awarded at each tournament count towards the overall power rankings. There is a payout at the end for the top 8 teams!
The tournament is limited to 16 teams, and all 3 tournaments are 9 player tournaments. Our goal is to get the full 16 teams, so you would only play each team once in the round robin portion of any of the 3 tournaments.
This is open to any team, your team doesn’t need to shoot in class A at state to get points towards the payout or participate in the World Series.

The dates and locations are:
October 24, 2026 in Wausau
January 16, 2027 in Watertown
March 6, 2027 in Green Bay

The entry fee for all 3 tournaments is $200 total, or $75 for just any one of the 3 tournaments. Preference will be given to teams entering all 3 tournaments.
The state tournament is entered separately, but wins and place points will count towards the final power rankings for teams that enter any of the World Series events.

The state tournament is April 3 & 4, 2027 in Wisconsin Dells.

Please consider putting your 9 player team into this event, it’s the only other chance to shoot together as a 9 player team for most besides state.

The entries are on the WisconsinDartball.com website on the tournaments page. If you enter your team under the 1st tournament and then pay the $200 entry, you will be automatically added to the next 2 tournaments.

The brackets are now available on the website via the following links or in the Fan Zone app on Android and Apple. Handcrafted Basswood Boards will have 4 new boards available Saturday for sale. They are first come, first serve, no reservations They will be available starting at 10am and $350 cash only. These are the official boards of the state tournament that everyone plays on. 100% basswood and raised wiring.

Looking for Software Engineer

I am looking for a software engineer that is interested in working on the Dartball website, Statistician and Fan Zone apps. This is an opportunity to help make a difference in the Dartball community and also some extra money. This person would work with me to learn about the website and apps in order to share the workload now and eventually take over at some point. This person should have several years of programming experience. Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft development tools are needed including C #, SQL and Azure as well as React Native. The ideal person would be a dartball player but is not required.

I have no plans of stepping down from what I do in the near future but myself and the committee realize that all of this technology has become a very important part of the Dartball world and want to ensure that it can continue to exist, function and grow with the game of Dartball.

If anyone is looking to purchase new Dartball boards, there will be some for sale on Saturday at the Dartball Tournament in Green Bay. Tournament is pretty much all day long at the Stadium View Bar and Grill on Holmgren Way, in the banquet halls.
Tournament play starts at 9:30am, the 3rd leg of the World Series of Dartball Tournaments.
