The UWO HipHop dance team was formed ten years ago by two dancers who began the commitment to strive for the best, while improving each year. The team is full of dedicated dancers who all love performing and supporting various sporting and community events in Oshkosh.

Meet the 2026-2027 Captains!🖤💛

Hi, I’m Ava! I am from Seymour, WI and I have been dancing for 19 years! My favorite style of dance is Hip Hop and Pom. Outside of dance I love being outside, traveling, spending time with the people I love, and going to the gym! This is my 4th year on the team and one of my favorite dance memories is the entire day of the state competition my freshman year!

Hi! My name is Kara and I will be your vice president this upcoming season! I graduated high school from Sheboygan Falls, Wi. This will be my third year at UWO and also third year on the Hiphop team! I have been dancing for about 13 years, between high school, studio dance and in Los Angeles at Playground LA!! I have done competitive cheer, kick, pom, jazz and hiphop! I would have to say hiphop is my all time favorite, but pom is a close second ;) Outside of dance I love to go to the gym, go snowmobiling, and spend my money! My favorite dance memory is all of the friendships i’ve made with the girls and getting to dance a step up themed routine last year!!! I can’t wait for next season😼

Hey, everyone!👋😁 My name’s Phoenix, and I’m coming from Appleton🍎 I’ll be going into my second year of college as well as dancing on the UWO Hip Hop team. This is my first year of being a captain as the treasurer, and I’m very touched to be seen as someone to help lead this team as well as super stoked for this upcoming season! I’ve been competitively dancing ever since high school, but growing up and during high school, hip hop has always been my favorite😎👟 I have so many fun and amazing memories with dancing! I especially love it when we’re on the floor and there are teams, families, and friends cheering and supporting us on. It really shows how amazing and powerful the dancing community is! Otherwise, if I had to pick, it would be hitting our team worm from this past season🪱😝 Outside of dance, I’m kind of everywhere, haha! I love chilling at home and relaxing on my bed or sofa, but I also love to go out anywhere and everywhere with friends and family!

Hii I’m cadience and I am one of your safety officers for this season! This is my 2nd year on the team and my favorite style of dance is hip hop and I’ve been dancing for about 14 years! Besides dancing I love to hangout with my friends and go shopping. My hometown is Deforest WI and my favorite dance memory is our first team bonding as a team last year and receiving our team backpacks. I’m so excited for this season!!

Hi, I’m Jhadan! I’ve been dancing for a little over 15 years and my favorite style is hiphop! I’m from Plymouth Wi, and when I’m not dancing, you can probably find me with my puppies, hanging out with my sister or singing! This is my second year and one of my favorite memories is going to kwik trip post practice with some of the girls on the team.
