Welcome to the OFFICIAL Sunny Brae Golf & Country Club page. We are a private course located along the Cedar River just outside of Osage, Iowa. We are celebrating our 100 year anniversary in 2017 and invite you to come for a visit, enjoy our beautiful 9-hole golf course set along the bluffs and the water of the Cedar, and consider becoming a member, if you're not already.

Join us as we celebrate the end of another great golf season at Sunny Brae!

⭐️October 24th, 2026⭐️

Our 2026 Annual Meeting will begin at 3:30 PM, followed by Social Hour from 5:00–6:00 PM. Light appetizers will be available during social hour, with dinner to follow.

Dinner will include your choice of a ribeye steak sandwich or grilled chicken breast sandwich, served with cheesy potatoes, salad and dessert.

Dinner is $15 per plate.

Members are more than welcome to bring guests along to help us celebrate!

Happy Wednesday from Sunny Brae! ⛳️

Open golf for members and green fee players until 3 p.m. After 3 p.m., the course is reserved for members, with the exception of guests golfing with a member.

Just a reminder that Women’s Night on Wednesdays and Men’s Night on Thursdays have wrapped up for the season. With those nights ending, the under-21 restriction after 3 p.m. has ended as well.

We’re looking forward to some beautiful fall golf and hope our members can get out and enjoy these last few weeks of the season! 🍂⛳️

☀️ GOOD NEWS FROM SUNNY BRAE! ⛳

The course will OPEN FOR PLAY at 1:00 p.m. today!

The clubhouse will be open until 7:00 p.m. and will stay open later if golfers are still out and enjoying the clubhouse.

Please keep in mind that the course is still drying out. There may be wet and soft areas, along with a few spots where standing water remains. Please use caution and be mindful of these areas while you’re out on the course.

The bridge was cut Saturday night, so please use Alternate Hole #6 until further notice.

We’re happy to be opening back up and look forward to seeing you this afternoon!

Attention!
Sunny Brae Golf Course will be closed all day Wednesday, September 30, while our greens are aerated.

Why do we aerate the greens?

While we know aeration temporarily disrupts those smooth putting surfaces, it is an important part of keeping our greens healthy and in great condition. Aeration helps:

• Relieve soil compaction caused by golfers and maintenance equipment
• Allow more air, water and nutrients to reach the roots
• Improve drainage
• Encourage stronger, healthier root growth
• Maintain firmer, smoother and healthier greens long-term

According to the USGA, the temporary disruption caused by aeration is an important trade-off for healthier turf and better, more consistent playing conditions in the future.

The clubhouse WILL be open for Ladies Luncheon at 10:00 AM.

Thank you for your patience while Jon and the grounds crew complete this important course maintenance. A little inconvenience now helps keep our greens healthy for seasons to come!

Sunny Brae will be closed for the remainder of the day.

Due to the rainy conditions and as we continue to closely monitor the river, both the course and clubhouse will remain closed today.

We’re experiencing some minor flooding at Sunny Brae, so the course and clubhouse will be closed all day today. Please stay off course.

We’ll continue to monitor conditions and keep everyone updated regarding tomorrow.
