Head Director of AAU & Travel — Top 5 Hoops Michigan

Hometown: Grand Rapids, MI
Education: Northview High School | Mid Michigan College | GRCC | Aquinas College

Malik brings an impressive basketball background to Top 5.
A former college standout, he was named Freshman of the Year at Mid Michigan College, earning First Team All-Conference, All-Defense, Freshman Team honors, and All-MCCAA recognition.

His professional playing experience includes time with the Kalamazoo Galaxy, Albany Patroons, West Virginia Grind, and New York Phoenix, totaling 3 years of professional basketball experience.

Malik also brings 4 years of coaching experience and currently serves as the Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Allegan High School.

As the Head Director of AAU & Travel for Top 5 Hoops Michigan, coach Clincy will help lead the growth, development, and direction of our AAU and travel basketball programs across the state.

What he brings to Top 5:
Clincy brings strong connections throughout the basketball community, skill development expertise, and coaching experience. His relationships with coaches and programs around the area will help Top 5 continue creating opportunities for athletes.

From being a standout at Godwin Heights, to playing at Davenport University, to developing young athletes and now leading at the varsity level. Braima brings the experience, knowledge, and relationships needed to help build something special in Michigan.

This is bigger than basketball.
We’re building a youth-to-college pipeline that develops athletes, creates opportunities, and gives Michigan basketball players the resources and exposure they deserve.

Braima will lead the vision for Top 5 Hoops Michigan as we continue expanding our programs, developing coaches and athletes, and building the next generation of basketball talent.

Arsenio Arrington

National President, Top 5 Sports | Regional CEO, Top 5 Hoops Chicago

Top 5 is proud to welcome back Arsenio Arrington, one of the organization’s original founders, as our National President and Regional CEO of Top 5 Sports Chicago.

Arsenio has been part of the Top 5 family since its early days, serving as the Commissioner of Top 5 Runs during the launch of our original brand in 2022. His leadership, vision, and commitment helped establish the culture and competitive standard that continues to define Top 5 Sports today.

A professional basketball player and accomplished coach, Arsenio brings more than eight years of experience in athlete development, coaching, leadership, and organizational growth. He has served as a training facility co-owner, skills trainer, head coach, program director, and mentor, developing athletes from the youth level through collegiate competition. He currently continues his professional playing career with the New York Phoenix, bringing active professional experience and leadership to the organization.

As a player, Arsenio has earned numerous honors throughout his collegiate and professional career, including NAIA Third Team All-American, All-WHAC First Team, WHAC All-Defensive Team (2017 & 2018), NJCAA Defensive First Team, NABL Champion, NABL All-Diamonds First Team, and recognition on the Eurobasket Top Performers List.

As National President, Arsenio oversees the strategic growth, operations, and organizational excellence of Top 5 Sports nationwide. As Regional CEO of Top 5 Sports Chicago, he leads the expansion of the Chicago region by developing athletes, supporting coaches, building community partnerships, and creating new opportunities for the next generation.

His return marks a new era for Top 5 Sports as we continue building a national movement dedicated to developing champions on and off the court through leadership, education, competition and service
