There is a scheduled power outage starting at 1am and could potentially last approximately two hours. The gym will be closed at 1200 and will open at 0300 if the power has been restored.

UPDATE: Clarification on the Planned Electric Outage Area
We understand the map included in our previous post caused some confusion, so we'd like to clarify the areas that will be affected by tonight's planned outage beginning at 1:00 a.m.
Businesses affected include:
The movie theater and Maverick on GW Lane Street
All businesses on the west side of Ichord Avenue, except Bank of Crocker and Domino's
Residential areas affected include:
• Bobby Dale Street
• Auburn Street
• LeSalle Street
• Lincoln Street
• The south side of Frances Street
• The west side of Sunset Street
• Parts of Jared Street
• The front half of Briar Point Subdivision, including parts of Page Street and all of Savannah Street
This outage has been scheduled for 1:00 a.m. to minimize the impact on residents and businesses by avoiding the busy morning and afternoon hours. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our crews complete these necessary improvements to the system.

⚠️ Scheduled Power Outage Notice ⚠️
The City of Waynesville will conduct a scheduled power outage on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, beginning at 1:00 a.m. to allow for necessary repairs and maintenance at the substation.
This outage will affect both residential and business customers located within the red area shown on the attached map.
The outage is expected to last approximately 1 to 2 hours. While every effort will be made to restore power as quickly as possible, restoration times may vary depending on field conditions.
We encourage affected customers to:
• Charge electronic devices in advance.
• Prepare for temporary interruptions to appliances and equipment.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these important improvements to help maintain reliable electric service for our community.
