**Dear Valued Customers and Beloved Community,**

It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we must share the difficult news that, after 25+ years of serving this wonderful community, Gemini Gymn, previously Heather’s Studio, will be closing our doors March 30, 2025.

Heather’s Studio was first opened by Heather Dean in 1997 as she coached for 23 years alongside being a mother. Heather’s legacy of impacting childrens’ lives is known far beyond the Orrville community. In 2020, the business was sold to Angie Hilty who began attending Heather's Studio at 3 years old. She has been honored to have the opportunity to grow with Heather’s Studio/Gemini for 26 years, run Gemini while once working a part time job, being a wife and mother to two boys with another baby boy due shortly.

The decision to close Gemini was not easy. As time passes, we realize that our greatest treasure is our faith and family, and the time has come to prioritize those values in a way that running this business no longer allows. Heather’s Studio/Gemini Gymn has been more than just a business; it has been a place of family, friendship, memories, and growth. From the day we opened our doors, we have been honored to be a part of your lives—getting to know your families like our own, helping your children achieve goals, and hopefully impacting their lives far beyond gymnastics. The relationships we’ve built over the years mean the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for the support you have shown us.

However, as times change and the economy evolves, we found ourselves with an incredibly difficult decision to make. Despite our best efforts to adapt, it has become clear that the time has come to close this chapter. This is not just the end of a business; it is the end of an era and a legacy that we hoped would continue far into the future. Our hearts ache at the thought of saying goodbye, but we will always remember the countless memories we’ve shared with you. We will cherish the friendships, the laughter, and the sense of community that Heather’s Studio/Gemini Gymn brought into our lives.

As we close our doors, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to every single one of you who has supported us over the years. Your loyalty and kindness have been the backbone of our success, and we will never forget the love you have shown us. Thank you for being part of our journey and for allowing us to be a part of yours. We hope the spirit of Heather’s Studio/Gemini Gymn will live on in your hearts as it will in ours.

With heartfelt thanks and warmest regards,

Angie Hilty

This past week’s word was GIFTED! This was tricky to explain to a younger age group. A gifted athlete has great natural ability in their sport, demonstrating superior physical attributes like speed, strength, agility, coordination, or stamina that significantly set them apart from others, allowing them to learn and perform at a high level with relatively less training compared to others. A gifted athlete has innate talent, a quicker learning curve, exceptional performance and the ability to go far in their sport. I think we can all humbly and comically agree, we’re not gifted in certain areas that other people are gifted at! In Christianity, the term "gifted" refers to having special talents, abilities, or spiritual gifts from God. These gifts are given to help others and serve God's purposes, not for personal gain. They are not earned or deserved. It may take awhile to figure out what area we’re gifted in and how we can use it to serve God’s purpose for our lives. As athletes, we can glorify God in many different ways. We can perform with excellence and integrity (“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”) We can honor God by giving our best effort and staying disciplined, performing fairly and respecting others. We can remain humble in victory and gracious in defeat (“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”) We can use our platform to share our faith, display good sportsmanship and love by encouraging others, helping others, and leading with kindness. Most importantly, we can keep our identity in Christ and not in sports because our worth doesn’t come from performance but that we are a child of God with a bigger mission.

This past week we learned about trials! Trials are challenges that may test your ability, humility, submission, values or faith. They are the bumps and roadblocks in life’s journey. When we are faced with uncomfortable and difficult times, our immediate response is to escape and seek relief. However, they are a significant part of our journey. If we don’t realize and reflect on the trials, we fail to learn and miss the growth that comes as a result. Trials mold and refine us to become the person God expects us to be and are all part of His plan.

We talked about different types of trials we may experience: learning new skills, fear, mental blocks, school drama, etc. We will have good days and bad days in life and gymnastics, and THAT IS OKAY. Like we talked about last week, our worth does not come from the trials we go through or what others have to say about us.

Trials will NEVER go away because we live in a fallen and broken world full of sin, and that won’t change. But, each trial is temporary. Jesus suffered the ultimate trial to die on the cross for our sins so we can be forgiven and come to know Him, and our trials cannot possibly compare to that! Our suffering now is temporary to our eternal hope of heaven!

Each week, we discuss a new word and how to apply it to learning gymnastics and life. This past week, we learned what WORTHY can mean to athletes. Worthy means having value, merit, or worth; deserving of praise, respect or attention. As an athlete or human, where does YOUR worth come from? Does it come from the approval of others? Does it come from someone telling you good job, you do a great job, or an understanding within that you have worth as an athlete and that you have the right to believe in yourself and trust in your skills? It’s easy to have your self-worth determined by the opinions of others or the outcome. Of course, hearing you did a good job makes you feel happy however, this never allows you to develop true worth. Our true worth only comes from God alone. He created us perfect in His image! He loves us! He sent His son Jesus to die on the cross for US! If someone talks about you negatively in school or maybe you are having an “off” day in sports, it doesn’t diminish your true worth. Let’s teach our kids to stand firm in faith, to be confident and know our true worth so we won’t be shaken!

Glow tumbling was a week to remember! The kids got glow sticks, colored on their arms/legs with body crayons, and took home a light up balloon after class. We hope everyone had as much fun as we did!
