Sophomore midfielder Daniel Nascimento De Andrade made his next move official, signing to Division II West Texas A&M. Andrade, originally from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, came to Butte College not knowing anyone but with the hope of playing soccer and receiving an education.

“I played soccer my whole life since I was born,” Andrade said. “(Butte) gave me a good opportunity and I couldn’t ask for more. I was excited to come here.”

In his two years with Butte, Andrade scored 16 goals and provided nine assists. Andrade will be joining the Buffaloes, a program that advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals just two years ago.
