⚠️Storing a knife inside a leather sheath for long periods can cause rust.⚠️
Leather is porous and absorbs moisture from the air, and residual tanning chemicals in the leather can also react with the metal. This creates a humid, corrosive environment that pits and oxidizes steel blades—especially high-carbon steel.
PLEASE do not store your knives in the leather sheaths. It's also good to oil them every now and again. Any of my knives that have been pulled out of a sheath and have corrosion, feel free to send back for cleaning and buffing and free shipping back to you!
