Had this load delivered early today form Available firewood near me and I’m very pleased with it. The quantity is generous for a loose tip, with well split logs and a good range of sizes that will stack and burn well. The wood looks like a solid hardwood mix and is generally clean and tidy. A few pieces may benefit from a bit of extra drying, but overall it represents very good value for the price. Delivery was on time and hassle free. Would happily buy again.

Order a cord. How much was I shorted.

Guy delivered in two batches, each time the bed of an F150 was full. Finally got around to stacking the delivery. 8x4 foot rack on the right, 46 inch ring on the left. Ring was full, I burned through what you see missing on the top left corner. I feel like he only delivered a little more than half a cord. How badley was I shorted?

Black Cherry or Hickory?

Im middle Tennessee. Uploaded 4 images ,bark/grain. Got these logs off someone for free. Lately I’ve been burning a lot of ash and red oak from back yard woods but I did have a black cherry tree fall last year and this wood seems similar. But AI is saying hickory. Wanted to give it to the experts here. Either way it’s a good score and I am grateful. Also- moisture is sitting at 20 to 23 in that split piece. Thanks yall for taking a look.

What is this stuff

This tree came down a few years ago. It has need CSS since 2023 in a shed. It burns well but I get very solid coals almost like it is unburned after overnight runs. It also produces a ton of ashes. Any idea what I am dealing with?
