CONGRATS TO OUR SECOND MEMBER OF THE MONTH, Samantha Hayman!
Anyone that knows me, knows how much I love the gym…. But this was not always my story.
15 years ago the last place you’d find me was the gym. I had no drive, no motivation, no interest in working out. That all change when I fell off a roof. Straight down from 15 feet high, that was the day God intervened and began transforming my life and my body.
My back was severely injured, I was in constant pain and I was over weight. My doctor suggested if I could loose weight it would relieve my pain. I was desperate to feel better so I joined weight watchers. I was 215 pounds and hadn’t been to the gym in years. So slowly by surely I committed myself to my weight loss journey and after 1 year I trimmed my body down by 80 pounds. Fortunately my weight degreased but my pain did not.
My doctor then suggested physical therapy, this is truly where I chose to begin my relationship with the gym. Was is love at first site , nope, but over time that love has grown, today I couldn’t imagine my life without the gym. I love my gym time but it’s not just the gym I love it’s this gym Nauset Fit Co.
I lace up my shoes, which I have many, and I begin everyday with a smile. The atmosphere here is amazing , the staff is above exceptional and the equipment is always top notch. The gym is immaculate and always great energy. I attack my workouts to strengthen my core in order to support my spine, I stretch in order to stay agile and I train my muscles daily to continue increasing my range of motion which all supports my pain. I mimic all the physical therapy exercises I’ve been taught, use the many options of cardio machines, and when I don’t know how to use something there’s always a coach to show me. I am part of the 5am “crush it crew” a few of us die hards we show up daily rain or shine. We encourage one another and support each other . I feel at home , I feel welcomed, I feel motivated to come back tomorrow. The owners Jonny and Phil are my favorites because they care about each and everyone one of us from the newbies to the old timers . We are all valued here which makes this gym unique and special to me.
There are also many coaches and many classes offered. I love beginning my day here at Nauset Fit Co and always look forward to the next . I’m honored to have been chosen to be customer of the month #2. Honestly I am treated more than a customer , I’m treated like family and at Nauset Fit Co. they always put family first #1 which I love. So today my love for the gym is stronger than ever and I look forward to many many more years of recovering from chronic pain here at the best gym on the cape Nauset Fit Co where I always go to get Fit.
