Oisin came to me pre season for advice on juggling pitch work & long distance training in prep for the Malaga Half Marathon πŸ‘‡πŸ»

We had already been consistent with strength training for many months, alongside speed, power, agility, jump & conditioning so adding in work on the tarmac was never going to be an issue.

Wave training with higher loaded days combined with recovery days, allowed us to maximise our chances of getting race day right. The pitch training with intervals on the track & a longer run at the weekend & 1-2 strength sessions made sure that Oisin went into the race fully confident of hitting his goal βœ”οΈ

Players goals can change each season & Oisin is a prime example that no matter the goal, we can make it work.

If you need a coach who has done many half marathons, a full marathon & HYROX’s alongside playing the sport, then never hesitate to each out πŸ‘‹

3 sets x 4 runs at your desired distance. 60 seconds on : 2 minutes off βœ”οΈ Take 3 mins rest between sets! I’d say plenty of players hitting these distances during the prep for league campaigns!

β€œYears on the gym floor taught me more than any textbook ever could! Some reasons why I wanted to work on the gym floor instead of jumping straight into online coaching.

I learned how to coach live, handle real-life problems, build trust, fix mistakes on the spot, and β€” most importantly β€” coach the person, not just the program.

It’s about mastering the basics, solving problems in real time, and creating real friendships that last far beyond a training session.

This is why I didn’t skip the groundwork and jump straight online.
I did the hard yards to EARN the right to coach teams and individuals β€” in person, online, or on the pitch.

If you’re a young coach: don’t rush the process.
If you’re an athlete or client: trust the coach who’s been in the trenches.

I could never run a successful online business alongside working with multiple Gaelic Football teams if I never was on the floor!
