Black Tiger Shotokan - Hara Kenkojuku Martial Arts Dojo We are a Traditional Karate school offering training in the Japanese style Shotokan Karate. The quality of instruction that BTS-HKMAD is exceptional.

Our school membership is not large, by design. We cater to students who are serious about learning Shotokan Karate rather than students who merely wish to 'do' karate as a pastime. Our instructors are friendly, approachable and truly enjoy training with our existing family of students as well as prospective and new students. We do not have a Kids class. We will consider students in their teens and

up and we will evaluate them prior to acceptance to the dojo. Discipline and mutual respect is a foundation of Karate-Do and it is always required and maintained to create and assure a safe training environment. We welcome visitors to Orlando to come in and train while you are here. Please bring your Gi to wear. As for new students, just come dressed comfortably. We look forward to seeing all of you.

After years of training, my son, William and I were promoted to Ni-Dan - Second Degree Black Belt. I am so proud of my son as well as myself especially after the set backs I have had with 2 shoulder surgeries and pandemic. Just goes to show you, age is just a number.
