Positive Athlete Names “Most Positive” Athletes in Florida for the 2026 School Year
MIAMI, FL (May 26, 2026) – For the first time in its history, the Positive Athlete organization is recognizing local athletes from all across Florida with dedicated awards. These high-character kids have been nominated and confirmed by their schools as the most representative of “How Positive Athletes O.P.E.R.A.T.E.:”

This year, Positive Athlete is naming 14 different individuals as the “Most Positive” in the market, including 14 high school student-athletes, two coaches, one Athletic Trainer, one Athletics Director and the Most Positive Athletic Department. Jensen Beach High School in Martin County has also been named the State’s Most Positive Athletic Department after an impressive number of high-quality nominations throughout the year and engagement.
Over 15,000 nominations from coaches, principals, athletic directors, teachers, and parents were submitted for the Positive Athlete program nationally, representing over 6,000 public and private high schools. Scott Pederson created Positive Athlete in the early 2010’s as a movement for more positivity in youth sports. In addition to excellence on the field, each nominated Positive Athlete was required to show the above characteristics in order to be nominated. About Positive Athlete
