Congratulations to the team of Ole Yeller for winning this year's Sanford Sailfest held at the Lake Monroe Sailing Association over the weekend. Ole Yeller and Flur de Mur III swapping 1st and 2nd place over the weekend with Ole Yeller coming out on top. Great job Max and team.

It's not over until the fat lady sings they say but, this year's attendance, including my own, was very poor at the Lake Monroe Sailing Association. To say that we allowed Olivier to take the trophy is an understatement. His dedication to our Club, Fleet and our sport should be commended. Bravo Zulu to you and your crew. For the last three months of club races, we must do a better job of bringing the fleet in and making it harder for team Fleur de Mer III just walk away with the cup. This sailor is going to dedicate the last few months to sailing in the club races and try to catch a few Wednesdays before the time change. So, it's time to look at our schedules and make plans to stop Fleur de Mer III with all of the number one spots. All Olivier has to do is show up because, NONE OF US ARE.

Remember why you bought the boat? Now, go sailing!

Yesterday we kicked off the second half of the Lake Monroe Sailing Association club racing series. Sadly, our participation has been low for our fleet this year and hope that as the weather cools, we have more SJ21 teams on the water. The race committee got off one race as the lightning increase around Lake Monroe and several reports of hitting close to the marina. The RC called the race and sent everyone back in to safety. Below are the results of our series. I know that everyone including myself have a lot of commitments but let's try to get everyone on the water for the series. Reach out if you have any questions.
