For the inaugural “Manatee Monday” today, I grabbed a cookie butter latte from Espressology ! It was great and it tasted even better because there was a cute bear on top.
The manatees slept in later than me today, they were very quiet when I arrived so I didn’t stream while building my paddle box like I planned. Noted, I should have known. Manatees are lazy why would they wake up early. Next week’s manatee Monday will commence around noon. That means more sleep for me too!
I’m just setting up shop at the park, so I had a lot to do today that involved power tools and hardware stores, maybe some light swearing looking at an instruction booklet. By the time I built my paddle box, my phone was low battery from watching the YouTube video in the sun when I gave up on the booklet. Thusly, I failed to live stream. I did get a great video of their “cuddle puddle” (😳) after I got all of my boats moved in and secured while my phone charged. You can find it below this post!
I’m gonna do Manatee Monday every week because I heckin love coffee and it’s a great way to make one day of my bad habit (fancy lattes) less guilty. Featuring a local cuppa/my sweet lil kayak dream here/my new manatee friends is going to be a fun way to start every week. Maybe if it catches on we can have a bookable tour for the stream slot and all enjoy the manatees together!
