CFRPC IDPA MATCH INFORMATION
-----
PLEASE SEE THE SPECIAL NOTES ON PCC AND AIWB BELOW!!!!!
-----
This Sunday, March 5, is our monthly IDPA Match at Central Florida.
Set-Up begins at noon on Saturday. If you help with Set-Up, you shoot for free on Sunday.
Sign-In opens at 8 AM on Sunday, with an All-Shooter’s Brief at approximately 9 AM.
For more information, please see our web page HERE.
We will update the web page, along with our FaceBook page, if anything changes to the schedule. You can find our FaceBook page HERE. Bad weather is always a possibility, and we will announce adjustments or cancellations of the match on both of those locations.
-----
As always, we are looking for help in all areas of our matches. Specifically, we need help inside the trailer with match registration and administration. We also need more help with set-up on the Saturday afternoon before the match and as Safety Officers during the match. Remember, if you work the match, you shoot for free. If you are a CFRPC member and work on Saturday, you also get Club Work Hours. Please consider helping with our matches.
-----
Pre-registration on PractiScore is required. You can find our Practiscore page HERE. If you show up without a pre-registration, you will be asked to register on your own mobile device while outside the trailer/sign in area.
If all squads are full when you sign up, we will squad you on Sunday during sign-in. We reserve the right to make adjustments to squads as needed to balance the flow of the match. We will do everything we can to avoid it, but it may be necessary to move you our your group to another squad. We appreciate your flexibility.
Please have exact change - $10 for CFRPC members, $20 for non-members. Please, cash only. We don’t want to handle the cash any more than necessary.
CFRPC members must show their membership card at sign-in. Non-members must complete a waiver or show a current Extended Waiver Card at sign-in. If you've previously filled out an Extended Waiver Form, please check the card box on the waiver table to retrieve your card. If you filled out a standard waiver form at another match, you still need to complete a waiver form for our match. All guests/spectators must fill out waivers or show a membership card or waiver card to the staff in the office.
If you register for the match and later decide not to attend, please Withdraw from the match through Practiscore or email us at [email protected].
-----
If you are not an IDPA member, you need to register as “Unclassified” in the appropriate division. A classification in IPSC/USPSA, ICORE or other sport does not transfer to IDPA. Your division will be dictated by your gun/equipment, but your Classification must be UNC. This applies to anyone that is not a current IDPA member, whether you’ve never been a member or if you are a former member.
-----
PCC INFORMATION!!!! - If you are shooting Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC), you no longer need to bring your pistol gear. We are now allowing shooters to shoot their PCC only, no changing of guns during a stage.
PCCs may only work with one trigger pull to fire one round – variants that allow for other firing options may not be used.
The PCC default start condition is loaded, safety on, held at Low Ready. You may be required to shoot the PCC from both the Strong Side/Hand as well as Weak/Support Side/Hand.
The PCC rules require that the gun have a shoulder stock, not a SIG Brace or equivalent. No monopods, bipods, or tripods are allowed. All sights are allowed – iron, optical, and electronic. Lights and lasers are also allowed.
Magazines may be loaded to a maximum of 30 rounds, and extra magazines may be carried in a pouch behind the hip bone or in a pocket or inside the waistband. Magazines may not be coupled.
-----
AIWB INFORMATION!!!! - As we’ve listed here before, we do not allow Appendix Inside the Waistband (AIWB) carry in our matches. The reason isn’t that we don’t like AIWB; rather, it is due to the safety issue of sweeping yourself during the draw while seated.
Along the same line, we do not allow sweeping of yourself while drawing from a seated position while using a strong-side holster.
Both of these situations violate one of our Club’s basic safety rules, and we will not allow them to occur.
-----
With the ammunition situation, we have had questions about using a .22 LR pistol and/or PCC for the match. This is allowed, under the Not For Competition (NFC) division. The default start condition will be loaded and held at Low Ready unless you have a suitable holster. Remember, some of our Steel Targets may not fall with the light strike from a .22, and in this case we may adjust the stage description.
-----
Eye protection is required at all times on the Leath Action Range, except for in the trailer. The only place to handle your firearm is at a safe table, with no ammunition on the table. Your vehicle is not a safe table.
-----
We will have water on each bay, and Gatorade for the Staff and Safety Officers. Please remember your hats, sunscreen, and any refreshments you desire.
Face masks are not required. Personal sanitation is highly recommended. Members and guests are responsible for their own personal protection – masks, spray, gloves, etc.
