As Pride Month continues, we’re proud to spotlight Sarah Flood and her impact on racquet sports.

An RSPA Elite Professional, Sarah brings over 30 years of experience in tennis and pickleball. A former top 5 junior in Great Britain and Junior Wimbledon competitor, she went on to play NCAA Division I tennis at the University of Houston.

Now the Director of Racquets at The Houstonian, Sarah is a leader in coaching development, serving as an RSPA Coach Developer and mentoring the next generation of professionals.

A 2023 RSPA Texas Division Diversity Coach Award recipient and USTA & RSPA Texas Pro of the Year, Sarah continues to make a lasting impact through her leadership and dedication to the sport.

Ten years ago today, our community in Orlando—home to our National Headquarters—lost 49 beautiful souls at Pulse nightclub. Their lives, their laughter and the futures they should have had are remembered today and every day.

We honor them not just with grief, but with love and a renewed commitment to building a world where everyone can feel safe, seen and celebrated.

As Pride Month continues, we’re proud to spotlight Elise Parisi and her journey in tennis.

A lifelong player, Elise has been involved in tennis since the age of five and began coaching during her freshman year at Drew University. What started as part-time work at local clubs quickly grew into a passion, leading to the founding of Parisi Tennis Pros LLC after graduation.

While competing in college, Elise also gave back to the game by volunteering with her high school programs and later serving as Head Girls Varsity Coach at Golda Och Academy. In 2025, she graduated from Drew University with a degree in Computer Science and soon after reached a major milestone—becoming Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus at just 22 years old.

Beyond coaching, Elise is actively involved in growing the game through leadership roles with the RSPA Eastern Division and USTA Eastern NJ Council.

With a lifelong love for tennis, Elise is dedicated to developing players and making a lasting impact on the sport.

The best servers in tennis don’t just have great technique, they have a great routine.
In this lesson, coach explains how developing a consistent pre-serve routine can improve focus, confidence, and performance under pressure.
