The Dance Teacher has been a part of the Conway community providing quality instruction in a fun environment since 1985. We have received the OCPS outstanding new partner in Education award, voted one of the City Voters A-list top schools in Central Florida, and are recipients of the 2017 5-star Spectrum Award. The Director, Nancy Stewart, earned her degree in Dance with teaching certification fro
m Virginia Intermont College. Nancy is the recent recipient of the Expertise award recognizing her as one of the top ballet teachers in Central Florida. The Dance Teacher is excited to be offering a program with the City of Orlando's Spark program as well as presenting creative movement classes in private preschools. The Dance Teacher has been pleased to assist in the development of the Sacred Dance Ministry for Good Shepherd Catholic Church as well as presented sacred dances for the N.A.L.M. Conference and San Pedro Center. The Dance Teacher has had the privilege of presenting dance instruction for the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Conference. The Dance Teacher presents workshops on Adaptive Dance - Dance Is for EVERYbody, Autism Movement Therapy and Buddy Dance. . Our Director, Nancy Stewart has developed programs in dance for Edyth Bush Theater, the YMCA’s, and Winter Park Recreation, the Florida citrus sports summer camps. She has been featured in The Florida Scene magazine, Center Stage Magazine, Valencia parent Resource Center, and The Florida Catholic Newspaper, Dance Studio magazine and Dance Teacher magazine.
