🎖️ IAAPA Hall of Fame Inductee Spotlight: Bob Gurr

Few individuals have shaped the modern attractions industry as fundamentally as Disney Legend Bob Gurr. As one of Walt Disney’s original Imagineers, Gurr helped define the way attractions move, function, and bring stories to life, creating iconic ride vehicles and transportation systems including the Autopia cars, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Disneyland Monorail, and the Omnimover ride system.

His work helped establish the operational and creative foundation of modern themed entertainment, with an emphasis on guest comfort, reliability, capacity, and storytelling that continues to influence attraction designers and engineers around the world.

🏆 Miguel Quintana Pali is taking his place in the IAAPA Hall of Fame.

Through Grupo Xcaret, Quintana Pali transformed the way attractions could connect guests with cultural heritage, placing Mexico’s history, nature, and traditions at the heart of the experience.

His vision challenged the traditional boundaries of what an attraction could be, showing that cultural preservation, environmental conservation, hospitality, and world-class entertainment could thrive together.

Decades later, his approach continues to shape how attractions around the world think about sustainability and authenticity, while challenging traditional definitions of what a theme park and destination can be.
