Florida's largest, youth fishing competition running Memorial Day to Labor Day! Kids 6 to 17 can win $150,000 in prizes and scholarships!

Go to ccaflstar.com to sign up TODAY! Catch a CCA Florida STAR tagged redfish and you could win a brand new boat, motor and trailer package! STAR anglers will compete for nearly $500,000 in prizes and college scholarships during the summer long tournament which runs from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. Entry fees are just $40 for current CCA members and $75 for non-members, which includes a one year CCA membership. Have an angler age 6 to 17 that would enjoy participating? CCA New Tide members fish the STAR for free for a chance to win a share of up to $100,000 in college scholarships. STAR Florida is a 101 day long tournament designed to encourage anglers to get out and enjoy more time on the water and to educate the general public about the importance of conservation of Florida’s marine resources. The format encourages anglers of all ages to protect and conserve Florida’s fishery resources for future viability and availability for all recreational anglers. By promoting participation in STAR, CCA Florida will aid in the collection of significant scientific data while providing anglers of all skill levels with the opportunity to participate in a family-friendly angling competition. All STAR participants should develop a heightened appreciation for the challenges facing Florida’s fishery resources and should thereby develop a newfound awareness of the efforts needed to preserve them. Teen Challenge Was One to Remember! 🎣🏆

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the 2026 CCA Florida STAR Teen Challenge presented by Carolina Skiff!

Our Teen anglers submitted some incredible catches and a great variety of Florida saltwater species throughout the competition. We’re proud of every teen who got out on the water, put in the work, and made this season special.

But the reel excitement is October 10th. Come be a part of the 2026 CCA Florida STAR Awards Ceremony presented by Florida’s Sports Coast where STAR participants will be awarded some incredible prizes:

Fishing That Gives Back 🎣🎓

The 2026 CCA Florida STAR Youth Fishing Competition presented by Yamaha Outboards may be over, but the impact of STAR goes far beyond just catching fish.

STAR gives young anglers the opportunity to fish for saltwater species, enter their catches through the iAngler Tournament System App, and be eligible for incredible prizes which includes boat, Yamaha motor & trailer packages, electronics, trolling motors and tackle plus $100,000 in college scholarships through random drawings.

And it didn’t stop there.

The STAR Trash Division encouraged young anglers to collect trash while on the water, helping protect Florida’s coastal waters while earning community service hours for every qualifying 5-gallon bucket of trash collected.

STAR, a great way for Florida’s youth to combine fishing, conservation, community service, scholarships, and time outdoors—all while making a real difference.

That’s what CCA Florida STAR is all about: creating opportunities for young anglers while protecting the waters they love.

Making a Difference Beyond the Catch 🎣🌎

The 2026 CCA Florida STAR Youth Fishing Competition presented by Yamaha Outboards may be over, but the impact of our young anglers continues!

A huge thank you to every 2026 STAR Youth participant who took the time to collect trash while fishing and submitted a photo of a full 5-gallon bucket of trash alongside their official STAR Identifier.

These young anglers showed that being a great fisherman is about more than catching fish—it’s about protecting Florida’s waterways, keeping our coastal waters clean, and helping preserve our fisheries for future generations.

Every bucket makes a difference. Every angler can make a difference. 🌎🎣

The Final Day of the STAR Tournament! 🎣📸

Today marks the LAST DAY of the 2026 CCA Florida STAR Youth Competition presented by Yamaha Outboards, and we want to say a huge THANK YOU to every young angler, parent, family member, sponsor, and supporter who made this year's competition so special!

We've loved seeing the catches, smiles, and memories being made across Florida's saltwater fisheries all summer long. From boats and kayaks to docks, piers, and shorelines, young anglers across the state showed us just how exciting fishing can be.

As you get those final catches submitted, remember to make sure your official 2026 STAR identifier is clearly visible in your catch photo and include the angler whenever possible. 📸
