About LBRA
Lake Brantley Rowing Association (LBRA) was founded in 1988 by a group of students who were interested in beginning a rowing program at Lake Brantley High School. LBRA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the development of youth through the sport of rowing. Our rowing club is entirely self- supporting. We own our practice facility and equipment. The organization is overseen by a board of directors, managed by an executive director and coaching staff, and supported by its membership and the surrounding community.
We row out of our very own state-of-the-art boathouse. It was a four year journey that began with a vision, to create a permanent home for LBRA. Through the support of the LBRA Legacy Foundation, Inc. the boathouse was opened in 2008 and is located on Lake Fairview in Orlando, Florida. The John McLain – LBRA Legacy boathouse features three large bays that house our current racing shells, a fleet of ergometers (rowing machines), and plenty of weight-training equipment.
