This is hard to watch… but it could save a child’s life.

This footage is difficult to watch, but it’s an important reminder of how quickly a child can get into trouble around water.

We’re not sharing this to scare parents or place blame. We’re sharing it because these incidents happen in seconds, and they can happen to anyone.

Not always. We understand that hearing your child cry can be difficult, but crying does not automatically mean the lesson is unsafe or should immediately end.

For some children, tears are simply part of adjusting to a new instructor, a different routine or unfamiliar movements in the water.

Our instructors remain calm, attentive and supportive while helping each child work through those feelings. We acknowledge their emotions, offer reassurance and continue guiding them in a way that helps build trust and confidence.

Supporting a child does not always mean removing every challenge. Sometimes it means staying beside them while they discover that they can do something new.

With consistency, patience and small successes, uncertainty can gradually become confidence. 🦦💙
