Living on mission…

Life has been so full lately (maybe a little too full at times 😅). There have been so many opportunities to teach, share, preach and minister while making so many new friends along the way!

I am officially an Uncle AGAIN! To the tiniest little peanut in the whole galaxy!

Slowly making my way back into the gym, got to roll for my first time a few weeks ago after about 3.5 months post knee surgery.

3 months away from walking into marriage with the love of my life. Engagement has been challenging with planning and counseling and growing together as a couple, but it has also been so rewarding.

I’ve prayed for years to be in a place like this, and the Lord is faithful. I can’t believe how blessed I am!

1.29.26- The Birthday tradition looked a little different this year

When I was 24 I started a tradition of spending my birthday on the mat. It was a way of celebrating life, movement, and physical health. This year was the first time in 9 years I wasn’t able to train, so I had to opt for a birthday lift instead! Despite recovering from a knee surgery, I am still in great health, and my rehabilitation has been AMAZING. So I’m thankful for all the mat time, and training partners I’ve gotten to meet over the years. I’m DYING to get back to training and doing what I love, but am glad to be able to take this time and rest my body from this nagging injury that I’ve had for years. Thank you to all my friends and fam who have checked up on me and wished me a happy birthday. I’ll see you guys soon! 👊🏽

“New Year, New Knee”

Ive dealt with knee problems for almost exactly 7 years, I hurt it for the first time while training in January of 2019. I was able to rehab and it get it better and then took my 1st fight 8 months later in September

In 2024 right at the beginning of my camp for my last fight I tore it again, and this time, it stopped getting better. I still went through with the fight and continued training, went overseas to Australia and Indonesia where I got to train and compete and when I got home, I knew it was time to get it taken care of.

The Surgeon said my ACL was completely gone, my LCL was almost torn all the way through and I had a bucket handle tear of my meniscus, all the other ligaments were good and no loss of cartilage. The surgery was routine, the rehab has been going great! Happy to FINALLY see the light of day and getting back to training and competing unhindered hopefully soon!

Thankful for my family and Fiancée who have taken such good care of me, and thankful to the Lord for his grace and healing during this process. Excited to see what 2026 will have in store

The 3rd Generation of Jiujitsu fighters has arrived in the form of Krew Jones

I was about Krew’s age when my Dad brought me onto the wrestling mat for the first time, back when we lived in California in 1995. I grew up in the gym with my Dad and Uncle and those experiences were pivotal to the shaping of who I am as a man and as an individual

And now because of Krew will grow up on the mats with his Dad , his uncle and Grandpa the same way I did

I look forward to the day my children join the family business 🥋👊🏽

I injured my knee for the 1st time in 2019 and then again 6 weeks before my last fight in 2024

In that 5 year span, I took 5 fights, coached, trained and even competed internationally on it, all without ever getting an MRI 😅 well, I got one done and these are the results. I’m scheduled to see an ortho in a few weeks, and then I’ll be plotting my return to the cage, cuz I’m not done yet ⚡️
