This summer I decided to go all in on data tracking and doing the best to leave no stone unturned. So here’s a look at how we’re tracking everything this summer..
Slide 2: Individual Performance Sheet
Every athlete has their own Performance Sheet which contains their numbers from our assessment and it also has their customized plyo ball routine that we use in our warmups..
At the bottom, I also included a couple of notes of things that we need to focus on for the next couple months..
And if you noticed at the top, there’s a Goal Velo. I set that number for each athlete to give them something to work towards for the next 3 months..
Slide 3: Daily Performance Log
This is what we use daily to track body weight and the metrics/KPI’s that we test each day. Here’s our current testing schedule..
Monday: 10yd split
Tuesday: Vertical
Wednesday: Makeup
Thursday: Flying 10 (20yd sprint)
Friday: Depth Jump (RSI)
At the end of each day I take all the data that we track and input it into our Ace Performance app that stores and tracks all of our data..
Slide 4: Constraint Series Performance Log
This has been our bread and better for developing velocity and so I decided to take things a step further this summer and track every throw..
At the end of each week, I’ll take the average of each drill and input those numbers into our app so that we can see our athletes velocity trends over time..
Slide 5: Bullpen Tracker
We’re using this to track every pitch in our bullpens. This summer we’re keeping track of velocity and strike percentage. I’m already starting to notice a difference in the focus level of my HS athletes now that I’m tracking strike percentage..
There’s kind of a sneak peak of what all we’re tracking this summer. I’m already thinking of ways that this system can be more innovative with some of the softwares we use to make it less time consuming so hopefully this fall I can make this a little easier on me haha instead of having to spend hours each week inputting data
