🚨 WE’RE LOOKING FOR A LEADER! 🚨

Argenta Oreana Youth Cheerleading (AOYC) is currently seeking a Vice President to join our Board of Directors for the upcoming season! 🧡💙

While Illinois nonprofit law does not require a Vice President position, we are intentionally expanding our board to include a 4th member—and here’s why:

✨ Stronger Leadership Team – More voices at the table brings better ideas, balance, and decision-making
✨ Shared Workload – Helps ensure no one person carries too much, especially during a busy season
✨ Program Growth – Allows us to expand events, sponsorships, and opportunities for our athletes
✨ Continuity & Stability – Provides leadership backup and long-term sustainability for the organization
✨ Greater Community Impact – More leadership = more support for our kids and families

Goodmorning! Happy to announce we will be having a Parent / JFL Parent meeting on April 9th at 7 PM in AOHS Cafeteria following the Tri-County Baseball Game. If you have a player that is currently in high school or in the JFL program you are invited! Come out and listen to the future and vision of the Bombers Football Program. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who braved the snow and joined us for our Pancakes with Santa Breakfast! We are so grateful for our amazing families and community who came out to support us and helped make the morning so special.

❄️ Oreana Christmas Parade Update ❄️

It breaks our hearts to share this, but we have made the difficult decision to CANCEL the Oreana Lighted Christmas Parade. With the dangerously cold temperatures expected, the safety of our participants, volunteers, and community must come first.

Unfortunately, we will not be rescheduling due to multiple scheduling conflicts this season.

We are truly saddened, as we know how much everyone looks forward to this magical event each year. Thank you for your understanding, your support, and your holiday spirit. ❤️💚

📣 Oreana Christmas Parade Weather Update 🎄❄️

The forecast for Saturday, December 13 looks concerning: we’re expecting a daytime high near 13 °F and overnight/early-morning lows around 7 °F — dangerously low temperatures for a public outdoor event 🥶.

Because of that, we may unfortunately have to make the difficult decision to cancel or postpone the parade in order to keep everyone safe.

We are closely monitoring conditions and will share a final decision later this week. Please keep checking our page for the most up-to-date announcements.

Hi! 👋🏻 We’re just a handful of parents who volunteered to help keep A-O sports alive.

We’re not professionals—we’re regular people trying to organize teams, answer questions, fix schedules, stock concessions, and still make it to our own kids’ games. Honestly, it’s a big job... But if we don’t step up, who will?

We need volunteers willing to work together to lighten the load. If you want to help, now’s the time.

Bring ideas. Bring energy. Bring snacks if you want.
But please—bring commitment.
