911 is one of them.
But there is another number every household should know:

POISON HELP
That number connects you to your local poison center, where specially trained poison experts are available to help with suspected poison exposures. HRSA says the line is free, confidential, and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
DON’T WAIT FOR SYMPTOMS
One of the most important pieces of federal guidance is simple:
If you think someone may have been poisoned, call Poison Help right away.
HRSA specifically says do not wait for signs of poisoning before calling.
Why?
Because every exposure is different.
The correct response can depend on:
What product or substance was involved
How much may have been involved
How the exposure happened
The person’s age and weight
How long ago it occurred
What symptoms, if any, are present
That is why guessing is not the plan.

If you ever need to call, HRSA recommends having the product container or label nearby when possible because it may contain important information for the poison expert.

If someone has collapsed, is unconscious, is having trouble breathing, or shows other life-threatening signs, Poison Help guidance says to call 911 immediately.
That distinction matters.
