One year of Ethix.

Crazy to think this all started with 1 rack, a TrackMan, a gifted cable machine, and a goal to get better every single day. A year later we’ve built something special together — 3 racks, more equipment than we could’ve imagined, force plates, and even more coming soon… 👀 recovery room soon.

But none of that matters without the athletes and families that trusted me from day one. Watching you guys grow on and off the field has easily been the best part of all of this. I’m beyond grateful for every single one of you that’s helped build Ethix into what it is today.

At the end of the day, just remember — y’all are good kids, and I’m proud to coach you guys.

Come hangout Saturday, June 6th at 12PM so we can celebrate together. Pizza, soda, cookies, games, and good times on me.

Matthew Viveros started at Ethix in September 2025 with one goal in mind:

Take a year off. Get stronger. Throw harder.

At his initial evaluation he topped out at 86 MPH at 5’6, 160 lbs, averaging 85.

Less than a year later, before heading off to summer ball, he’s now sitting 89 and topping 90 MPH.

Still 5’6.
Now 175 lbs.

This is what happens when obsession meets consistency.

If you want to be part of Ethix, now’s the time.

Summer spots are filling fast and we’re approaching capacity quickly.

Don’t wait.

HOW TO BOUCE BACK‼️

1 month of remote training…
T93 ➡️ T95 | now sitting 93–94 📈🔥

Huge shoutout to Matthew Des Marets on an impressive spring training. The work behind the scenes is showing up in a big way.

📊 Spring Stats:
18 IP / 18 K / 8 BB / 3 ER
1.50 ERA | 1 K/IP | 0.44 BB/IP

⚡️ Whiff Rates:
FB: 22%
SNK: 31%
Gyro SL: 45%
SW: 45%
CH: 56%

Early in spring, we identified a key issue—early torso rotation. That led to lower average velo (91–92, topping 93) and inconsistent misses. Through consistent remote work and a plyo progression, we focused on keeping the torso closed longer.

The result over the past few weeks:
📈 Velo jump to sitting 93–94, topping 95
📈 Sharper command + more swing and miss

Dialed-in adjustments + consistent intent = real results. More coming.

Why is shoulder horizontal abduction and scap retraction so important in the throwing motion?

This is where everything starts to load.

As the arm works back into shoulder horizontal abduction and the shoulder blades retract, the upper half of the body stores energy, setting the foundation for an explosive acceleration phase.

Early on, this was a weak point for Ethix athlete Vincent DeMarco. He struggled to get into this position and fully load his upper half.

Over time, he built the strength and control to consistently create it.

Now, he transfers energy more efficiently—resulting in a smoother, more powerful delivery.
