Week 3 results and recap.

Then there was one… The CT Black Sox regain possession of this week’s Top Dawg and remain as our only undefeated team. The Sox took on the Fairfield Whalers and handled them mightily in a sweep, winning both games with scores of 11-1 & 13-2, leaving the Whalers in search of that elusive first win.

The New Haven Rookies jump up another spot this week after dominating the CT Tigers in their sweep, with victories of 11-3 & 3-1, respectively.

The Bridgeport Flyers went on the road to the upstart CT Lightning. The Lightning took Game 1 4-3 in walk off fashion and the Flyers bounced back strong with a 8-4 Game 2 victory for the split.

The Stratford Owls paid visit to the Bridgeport Vipers. The Owls wrangled the Vipers in Game 1, winning 15-0. Game 2 was a much more tightly contested game with the Owls sneaking out with a 7-6 win to secure the sweep.

The Hartford Hammerheads played host to the Milford Mariners. The Hammerheads took home Game 1 with a final of 4-1. The Mariners came back strong in Game 2, shutting out the opposition winning 11-0, earning a weekly split.

Successful Opening Day for the Black Sox let’s keep this steam rolling!

The NSBL Standings after the Opening Day fallout.

We’ll start with this week’s Top Dawg, the CT Black Sox. The Sox went up to C**t Park and welcomed the Hartford Hammerheads with a nail biter in Game 1 with a 3-2 and followed that with a dominant 14-1 performance.

The Bridgeport Flyers stood on business against the Milford Mariners with an impressive 10-0 Game 1 victory and kept the same energy for Game 2 winning 4-1.

The Bridgeport Vipers took their new look show on the road out to Indian River to take on the CT Tigers. The Vipers struck down the Tigers with a 9-1 win in Game 1. The Tigers showed fight late Game 2 but ultimately fell short losing 4-3, securing a sweep for the Vipers.

Last, but not least, our defending champs, New Haven Rookies starting their title defense with a split with the Stratford Owls. The Owls snagged Game 1 away from the Champs with an extra inning, 6-5 win. The Rookies bounced back with an impressive 13-2 win in Game 2.

We are excited to announce our Opening Day matchup for the 2024 season! One of the newest teams to the Nutmeg League, will be hosting the Black Sox at C**t Park in Hartford on Sunday April 7th.

Mark your calendars and consider coming out to the beautiful and historic C**t Park for some fun Sunday double header baseball!

As we make our final push to fill our pool, we decided to make some updates. Given the current state of original pool, we decided to condense it to avoid having empty boxes come game time. The prize amounts have been adjusted and each box will now come with two pairs of numbers, which increases winning chances across the board.

Please help us fill the last few remaining so we can roll out the official numbers!

If you no longer want to participate in this style of pool we understand and can refund if requested. Thank you very much to everyone who has supported thus far!!

Hi all! We hope everyone had a great holiday season. It’s that time of the year again where we are launching our 3rd annual NFL Super Bowl Fundraiser. The support of this fundraiser has proven to be very strong, and we appreciate everyone who contributes. Just $20 per square, and up to $1,000 in prizes! All proceeds go directly towards helping the operation of the program (i.e. league fees, umpire fees, baseballs, equipment, etc.).
