It breaks our heart to have to post this, but here we go.
As of this morning, The Factory Bouldering name is no more and has been sold to new ownership.
We could not financially weather the storm of two lockdowns back to back and had no choice but to sell the gym.
New ownership will formally announce more details soon, however our staff is expected to stay on board and all memberships will continue to be honored. Weโll be doing our best to make the transition as smooth as possible. For now, we'll still be answering questions at [email protected] but you can expect this to go dormant within the next week.
There is so much to be said and so much to be remembered. Last night the owners and management got together to cry, reminisce, and look back on the legacy we created for the past 8 years. The term โwe couldnโt have done xyz without youโ was tossed around multiple times until it dawned on us-- none of us could have done this on our own. The Factory was a collective dream from day one. A true team effort.
We put our bodies, hearts, minds, and souls into this dream. This gym was built with an undying passion for self-betterment. Our motto was โBuilding Better Climbersโ. But over time we found out this motto was bigger than just climbing. Everyday we were building better versions of ourselves. This poured over into how we ran as a business, how we ran as a team, and how we ran as individuals. The question we constantly asked from 2012 until today was โhow can we betterโ?
In return, we were rewarded with a diverse community of unique individuals who made us the successful business we were. How can we not pour our hearts into something when the community we serve is so amazing? We are so blessed to have you all in our lives. The endless amount of friendships made within these walls made this journey so worth it. We showed you all our vision and you graciously accepted it with love.
At the end of the day, we are so proud of the impact our little mom and pop shop left on rock climbing. What we were able to accomplish within those walls wouldn't hav @ The Factory Bouldering
