The Grind Baseball and Softball Training Facility We love baseball and softball. The great players make it look effortless. Many players call this grueling training process a Grind. Why?

But what you rarely see is the ongoing and unending exercise, drilling, preparation and mentoring that backstops every powerful home run, brilliant catch or swift strike out. Because in baseball or softball each player has to make his or her own luck. And that takes a lot of hard work, time and devotion. We call ourselves The Grind in homage to the tremendous effort it takes to make it look effort

less. The Grind Baseball and Softball Training Facility provides athletes with the opportunity to build their own luck and create an enduring foundation for their dreams. We are dedicated to providing the very best baseball and softball instruction in a positive, high energy environment. We embolden our athletes to achieve by working closely with each individual to identify – and cure – weaknesses, improve skills and maximize performance. The Grind offers baseball and softball instruction, rental areas for teams and individuals, camps, and coaches clinics. Our instruction ranges from hitting, pitching and catching, to functional strength and core conditioning. Our coaches have professional experience, are highly skilled and, most importantly, have an insatiable appetite for baseball and softball. Our goal is to help every athlete improve through hard work, goal-setting and proper mechanics while not losing sight of the joy of the sport. At The Grind, we win every day. Our Philosophy

We use The Grind to strengthen the hearts, minds and bodies of athletes and help them achieve their maximum potential both on and off the field. We view our relationship with parents and guardians as a partnership in the development of the young athletes in our program. We recommend that all parents and guardians read this Letter to Parents that St. Louis Cardinals manager Mike Matheny wrote when he coached his son’s team. Facility

We encourage you to come and visit us any time. Owned and operated by Orange native Michael Moras, our brand new 6,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility has five tunnels and two Hack Attack Hitting Machines – the same machines used by all 30 major league affiliated teams. We are conveniently located at 83 Boston Post Road in Orange, Connecticut (diagonally behind Taco Bell).

Jack Henry headed to Salve Regina University

Every athlete who comes through our program becomes part of The Grind family, but every once in a while, a milestone feels especially personal. This one certainly does.

Jack Henry has been part of The Grind family since he was 8 years old. His family trusted us with his baseball journey, and through every stage, they believed in him, trusted the process, stayed the course, and continued to support him while allowing him to put in the work and earn every opportunity that came his way.

Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to watch Jack Henry grow from a young boy into the young man he is today. He was given the tools, but he chose to use them. He showed up, put in the work, took advantage of every opportunity, and never let the bumps in the road stop him.

That perseverance, commitment, and character are what make this moment so special.

Jack Henry, you earned this opportunity, and The Grind family couldn’t be more excited to watch you continue your academic and baseball career at Salve Regina University.
