Clay electric decided to change out the power lines in our area rendering us without power from 12-5 at the earliest . Unfortunately, with no power we can’t do anything. We will be closed today and return tomorrow once power is restored

For those that have been with us for a while, you know that tomorrow is a difficult day for the Recon family. Per the usual we are closed Monday , we will also be closed Tuesday to give our staff time to pay their respects and just not be in the area where it happened. We will return to normal on Wednesday. RIP Toby.

It’s that time of year folks. We will be closed Tuesday 11/26-Thursday 11/28 for Thanksgiving. We are taking the time to let our staff spend time with their families. Someone will be in the shop intermittently to receive transfers and prepare us for Black Friday. If you need anything within those days please call ahead prior to making the drive. We hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy your families !

Tomorrow we will be closed to do some yearly self audits and do some machine maintenance as well as prep for some upcoming changes (all for the better!). Staff will be here and we will accept shipments, however due to the nature of what we’re doing we need some time to focus on these improvements, audits and changes ! Lots of big announcements (changes, sales and much more ) to come ! We are also recuperating from some big health issues, so we will also spend the day answering missed emails/phone calls/messages ! Thanks for being patient with us and being the best part of Recon!

We were hoping this one would shift further away, thus the last minute post. We are closing today and tomorrow for the storm. We hope that you all stay safe and we will see you on Friday 🤙🏻. In the meantime time if you need us, hit us up on here and at [email protected]

As it sits we are incredibly lucky to have been spared major damage from the storm. We did receive a lot of wind which has left our employees either without power or with downed trees. Many of us have animals/children and will need the day to get generators running and get downed trees/debris cleaned up. We will close for the day to allow staff that time to take care of things. We apologize for the inconvenience, but with being such a small shop these seemingly minor inconveniences hit hard. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we don’t want to close either ! As it sits , we will be back up and running tomorrow . We will update if there are any changes

Due to logistical issues due to the storm (primarily school closures) we will be closed today. We will re open tomorrow. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Due to some ATF things we will be closed temporarily today. Unfortunately our meetings are taking a little longer than we anticipated . We will resume normal business hours tomorrow.

Our number has been overwhelmed with spam calls that are filling up our voicemail and preventing us from answering calls or getting to voice mails. To put it in perspective we are receiving approximately 85 -105 calls on average a day. If you have had difficulty reaching us , this is why.

Despite our best efforts to try and pull this off, due to Parks & Rec taking over the new Clay County Outdoor Adventure Park there are a few more loopholes to navigate before can host our event out here . We searched for a venue to make a quick shift to without sacrificing quality, safety, location and various other factors that we take into account for these events but were unsuccessful. The Parks & Rec Dept has assured me that we will be able to reschedule the event without issue there are just forms and legalities that we need to navigate with them for insurance reasons . We are awaiting one more form to make it through their legal team before we reschedule . Once this is done we will announce the new date . We will say that there is no animosity between us and the range as this is all done in the name of safety and protection for you, us, and the range . All purchases will remain valid for the new event . Should you be unable to attend / not want to attend please reach out to [email protected] and let us know your name so we can work on a refund for you. This is just as much a let down for us as it is you, as we really enjoy getting out and having fun with our wonderful people and watching people light up as they rip off a belt or a dump a mag. Do not fret, we will be bringing a bigger and better event in lieu of this.
On the bright side, this allots a little time to add more MGs that were close but not quite ready for the shoot and get some vendors and sponsors for prizes !

This was by the first builder when it came to us . The customer only wanted us to fix a few things, and in time will bring it back for the other repairs. Amongst the damage , the fsb threads were cracked ; the front stock latch slot was cut not only through the area where the builder did the engraving (thus destroying the engraving ), but it was also cut about 2.5mm too long; the gun is missing a whole rivet and so much more. Here’s to hoping we see this back for a full correction soon! For now , she’s back to functional , safe and better looking !
