Wrapping up our 2-day clinic with a strong Day 2 focused on defending, intensity, and game IQ

The kids worked hard, had fun, cracked some jokes, and made new friends along the way — which is exactly why we love the beautiful game ❤️⚽️

Proud of the effort and growth over both days.

We’ve got two days of top-notch training:
🔥 Day 1: The Art of Attacking – ball mastery, shooting, finishing, and small-sided games.
🛡️ Day 2: The Art of Defending – speed, agility, and all the defending concepts you need.

👥 Ages: 7–16 (grouped by age and level)
💲 Cost: $60 per day (sibling discounts available!)

Here are a couple of action shots from todays practice.
Dakota is demonstrating the proper way to receive a ball when your back is against the goal.
This awesome drill is for target players, wingers, or any player stuck in a tight situation whilst their back is against the goal.
——————————————————- This drill’s main point is teach proper body positioning when receiving the ball against the goal.
Here’s a few pointers:
-When receiving the ball, you want create a separation between the ball and defender. You can do this by standing sideways and lowering your center of gravity as you are leaning against the defender.

-When receiving the ball, reach out your arm to make sure the defender is still there and has not run around you to get to the ball.
-Once you receive the ball, deceive the defender with a stepover (pretending to turn one way but then turning in the opposite direction).
